Description
Center Stage® Pink Crape Myrtle is an absolute showstopper, combining panicles of sizzling hot pink flowers with deep, reddish-black foliage for one of the most dramatic plant combinations in the summer landscape. This large shrub or small tree blooms earlier than conventional crape myrtles and keeps going strong right through fall, smothering itself in frilly pink flowers with yellow anthers. Coppery-bronze new growth in spring and dark red fall foliage add to its remarkable multi-season appeal.
- Sizzling hot pink panicles with yellow anthers from early summer through fall
- Deep reddish-black foliage with coppery-bronze spring emergence and red fall color
- Earlier and longer bloom time than conventional crape myrtles
- Excellent mildew resistance, foliage stays clean and fresh all season
- Smooth gray bark and ruby-red branches add winter interest
- Large shrub/small tree, 6–12 ft. tall, 8 ft. wide, bold specimen or focal point
- Deer resistant, heat tolerant, Zones 7–10
Center Stage® Pink Crape Myrtle thrives in full sun with moist, well-drained soil and excellent air circulation. It is extremely heat tolerant and performs best during hot summers. Water deeply and regularly during establishment; once rooted, it handles periods of drought well. Avoid overwatering, which can compromise bloom production. Prune minimally in late winter, remove only crossing branches and spent flower heads. This vigorous, disease-resistant crape myrtle is built for low maintenance and maximum impact. Plant it where you need a bold summer anchor and watch your neighbors stop to stare. Shop now!
