Gorgeous juicy hues, the Artisan™ Soft Orange Coneflower Collection (Echinacea x 'PAS1308374') will add an exotic flair to your landscape with its array of orange, copper, apricot and citrusy tones! Each large ray flower subtly changes its orange intensity as it ages giving each plant a wide range of orange tones. Each bloom is highlighted by the typical Coneflower spikey ball of pollen-covered, darker centers. These enticing landing pads call every pollinator around to join your garden!
The strong stems of Soft Orange Coneflowers stand up to sun and weather, forming hardy mounds of coarse, deep green lance-shaped, glossy foliage. They look great long before the flowers appear, then all summer you'll enjoy flushes of big bold blooms, with sporadic flushes of flowers until frost (especially if you remember to deadhead often). Just leave a few blooms at the end of the season for birds like Goldfinches to find a feast in the seedpods.
Artisan™ Coneflowers are fantastic xeric and fire-wise perennials. Heat and humidity tolerant, they thrive in full sun all day long, but won't feed the deer and bunnies. Hardy throughout USDA growing zones 4 to 9, there's little these tough hybrid Coneflowers can't handle. All this and they still look fantastic in a vase as the focal point of your bouquets!
Planting and Application:
Plant these drought-tolerant perennials in your pollinator and modern wildflower gardens, or as sun garden edging or border plants. These big landing pads are an open invitation to both nectar-sipping pollinators and bees looking to gather pollen! Add pops of color to mixed plantings and Rock Gardens! Display this color-changing Coneflower all on its own as a fantastic specimen and focal point plant in patio and porch pots! Or amp up the show by plating en masse along hot, dry swaths of sunbaked ground, or along that tricky hell strip by the road or sidewalk!
Try combining Soft Orange with other Artisan™ Coneflowers like Red or Yellow Ombre for a full sunset and sunrise garden party! Soft Orange Coneflowers look gorgeous planted among other warm-colored flowering perennials like Rudbeckia, Gaillardia, Butterfly Weed Plants, Daylilies, and Red Hot Poker! Pair with red and orange Roses and ornamental grasses, or clash with purple Russian Sage, Liatris, and Allium, or Burgundy Yarrows and Veronica.

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Echinacea hybrids are low-maintenance sun-loving herbaceous perennials that thrive in tough conditions once established. Plant in about any kind of well-drained soil with regular moisture for new plants, but after, Coneflowers are very drought tolerant. For best flowering though, provide supplemental moisture throughout tough times and hot summers. Mulch mounds with 3-4 inches of arborist bark chips. Deadhead to encourage new blooms, then prune back mounds in late fall after the foliage yellows.
- Full Sun
- Thrives in Most Well-Drained Soil Types
- Moderate Moisture & Low Water Needs Once Established
