With fat cloves are wonderful for storing, the Inchelium Red Garlic is hardy throughout USDA planting zones 4 to 9 and the mature scapes are ready to harvest mid-season, growing up to 2 feet tall.

Planting & Application:

When planting Inchelium Red Garlic, divide the dormant bulbs into separate cloves (called bulbils) and plant individually with a small portion of the bulb poking above the soil, root side down. Space cloves 2 to 4 inches apart in rows 6 inches apart. Harvest once the tops have begun to brown and store them in a braid or a cool, dry place with plenty of air circulation.

Inchelium Garlic is great raw or sauteed with a fantastic mild flavor! You can use the flavorful scapes and even grow 'Green Garlic' that is spring planted and used more like green onions which are very versatile and excellent in cooking as well!
