These came almost perfectly packaged, although a little outside of pots due to one being packed two to a box with one upside down. Two little pieces of tape could be added across the crown to keep it in pot during shipping if it has to go upside down (the plastic bag does nothing.) Regardless, the plants arrived in perfect condition and look beautiful. The soil they are in is especially nice and I will preserve it during transplant. They are resting now and I’m sure they will be a beautiful addition to the garden.

I plant these corms without watering in, in the middle of a field and close to the house. Very reliable blooms, thriving in some of the toughest places. Loves the sun, less than happy is shade.I sit and watch the bees circle these. Swallowtail butterflies are regular visitors on these. Seed heads attract beauteous goldfinches through the winter. Too bad all flowers aren't this easy.

when I bought this flower, the bulbs were somewhat moldy and smelly. I saved and planted the best, and tossed the others to the back row of the flower bed. I now have lovely purple spikes which bring me butterflies and honey bees, both where I planted and where I tossed the "bad" bulbs. I want to give my daughter in law some of these!!
