Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

Edible, Ornamental Vining Cactus White Dragon Fruit

  • Refreshing Lightly Sweet Fruit
  • Breathtaking Massive White Night Blooms
  • Extremely Ornamental

Are you ready for a plant that is anything but boring? Then you are ready for a White Dragon Fruit cactus (Hylocereus undatus). This unique and remarkable vining cactus is both wonderfully ornamental and bears juicy fruit that will quench your thirst.

Dragon fruit or Dragonfruit, also called, 'Pitahaya' or 'Strawberry Pear' is extremely dramatic in appearance yet mildly sweet in flavor. This variety produces fruit about the size of a kiwi with a fiery magenta peel when fully ripe that has greenish-yellow 'dragon scales'. When you slice into a White Dragon Fruit, you'll find white flesh speckled with tiny black seeds. This fruit often has a crisp texture and sublime juice.

As your White Dragon Fruit turns from green to red, you can harvest them and let them chill before slicing them to enjoy them raw. They add exotic excitement to fruit salad, sherbet, or as a garnish to your favorite drink. Dragon fruit also makes unbeatable smoothies!

But the White Dragon Fruit offers more than just cactus pears that will make your fruit salad the prize-winning dish at your next pot luck. This vining cactus is one of the most breath-taking plants you'll find. Its branches overflow creating a fountain of green vines with scalloped edges. With a tall trunk and heavy top, some consider this the palm of the cactus world. But, unlike palms, this standout specimen produces fruit at the ends of its branches!

While the overall vision of the White Dragon Fruit will make you feel like you're in a tropical paradise, its flowers will transport you to an even more magical place. During the evenings in late summer to early fall, the White Dragon Fruit produces the most spectacular flowers you will ever see. The White Dragon Fruit cactus explodes with massive showy white to creamy yellow blooms that smell like heaven.

Like other cacti, the White Dragon Fruit is easy to care for. The first thing you'll want to do is provide yours with adequate trunk support and support for its vines. They prefer as much sun as you can offer and dry, well-drained soil. This variety is self-fruitful, so you don't need a partner plant.

This stunning cactus will turn heads as a specimen plant and make the perfect centerpiece for your Asian garden.

Don't let your garden suffer from mundane and typical plants. Add a specimen plant that will breathe new life into your yard with a White Dragon Fruit cactus. Order yours now!
