Prairie Petite Lilac – Super Compact Fragrant Bloomer!
Everything you love about Lilacs in a sweet tiny package! The Prairie Petite Lilac (Syringa vulgaris 'Prairie Petite') is a charming dwarf Lilac that brings all the beauty and fragrance of traditional Lilacs in a small, manageable package!
This reblooming variety produces clusters of soft lavender-pink blooms in late spring, perfuming the air with its sweet scent. Its compact form makes it perfect for small gardens, patio containers, and tight spaces where full-sized Lilacs wouldn't fit - even in containers!
Despite its small stature, this deciduous shrub delivers big on color and beauty! Reaching only 3 to 4 feet tall and wide, it boasts deep green, heart-shaped leaves that provide a lush backdrop for its pastel traditional Lilac blooms.
In fall, the foliage takes on a yellowish hue before dropping for winter dormancy. Unlike traditional Lilacs that can become leggy, Prairie Petite maintains a neat, rounded shape with minimal pruning. Bred for hardiness and adaptability, Prairie Petite Lilac thrives in USDA zones 3-7, making it an excellent choice for colder climates.
