#ProPlantTips for Care:

For the best performance, give your Rose Tree a planting site in full sun with rich, well-drained soil in a protected location - especially for the winters. Apply a consistent schedule of moisture and apply high-quality Rose fertilizer according to the label directions for best results. All Roses appreciate a 3-4 inch thick layer of mulch over their root systems.

Rose Tree Care & Pruning

Some winter protection for Tree Form Roses is suggested for the colder zones 5 and 6 and some of zone 7 too by overwintering in an unheated garage after it goes dormant, or outside with straw and burlap wrap. Then in spring, take out or unwrap and trim the head back to about a 1-2 foot sphere just as it begins to grow in spring.

Early each spring, after the last frost of the year has passed, it's always a good idea to prune back the Rose tree several inches to maintain the nice round form atop its trunk. Keep new blooms returning with occasional deadheading, quickly improving your overall display.

Prune away suckers and branching that forms at the base or on the trunk each year too. Pruning Roses allows for better, bushier growth each year and stimulates new growth. Learn about winterizing, and un-wintering your Roses in our Garden Blog, plus all the tips and tricks you need when pruning your new prize Rose bush!
