To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Nature Hills sells a large variety of plants with several options available. Plants are offered in both potted containers and as dormant bare root without soil. Here is a helpful resource to understand your options as you create a beautiful landscape with help from Nature Hills.

Seasonally, Nature Hills offers hand selected, high quality bare root trees, shrubs and perennials. Bare root plants are sold by height from the top of the root system to the top of the plant. Plants may be taller than the height minimums.
- Popular sizes of select trees are 1 foot, 2 feet, 3 feet, etc.

Did you know Boxwoods have been used as hedges as far back as 4,000 BC? Now, the industry has made some improvements since then with introductions such as NewGen® Independence Boxwood (Buxus 'SB108' PP28888) that make the genus that much more enjoyable!
This variety was found as a chance seedling and has since been tested and rolled out as one of two brand new cultivars in the NewGen® Boxwood series.
While the name and disease resistance is new, the core characteristics we know and love are the same, like its gorgeous deep green foliage.
This broad-leaved evergreen holds its color tremendously well throughout winter. Making it perfect for added interest in your perennial beds.

How to Use NewGen Independence Boxwood in the Landscape
Laying out a garden is a bit like painting a delightfully detailed portrait. Boxwoods can be used as helpful guidelines throughout and can direct eyes towards centerpieces you put together.
Accomplish the prim and proper garden of your dreams by using Boxwoods as a low formal hedge around either your flower beds or the edges of your yard.
Because they're low-growing, you can plant them upfront for texture and separation without worrying about covering up the perennials behind.
Plant as an accent inside the gardens to inject a little bit of color during the months your other flowers are resting.
It might not be the first use that comes to mind but we're here to suggest adding a few to your cut gardens. Boxwood branches can be cut and made into wreaths, winter bouquets, or pressed into scrapbooks!
Its rounded habit that is nearly as tall as wide also makes it a great choice to be the filler in your container plantings. Add one to either side of your front doorway.
You can alternate between this variety and other, lighter, kind to create a gorgeous contrasting mixed border.

Over the years, botanists have spent quite some time creating the best Boxwoods possible. These days, with Independence, you needn't worry about diseases. It has a high tolerance to boxwood blight and has excellent resistance to leafminer.
Pick it a spot in either full sun or part shade with well drained soil. If you'd like, you can improve the drainage if needed by adding some native soil on top of the area you want to plant and then install the plants on top of the bermed up area.
Other than that, this green beauty is good to go with medium amounts of moisture and perhaps some mulch producing its roots from the hot afternoon sun and cold winters.
Plus, the right colored mulch can bring your entire garden together. Much like how using the correct base coat of paint makes the finished painting pop.
