Sometimes you get the biggest impact in your garden with compact plants! We consider the smoky reddish orange compact petals with a purple overlay of Midnight Fire™ Miniature Rose (Rosa 'WEKboulette') to be a perfect example. You'll love the ombre look as the fully open blooms color changes gradually to bright sunny yellow centers!
This outstanding Miniature Rose is covered with incredibly full, old-fashioned cupped blooms all season long! Would you believe there can be up to 70 petals in each tiny bloom? Handsome dark green, glossy foliage cloaks these petite Rose bushes, making an effective backdrop for the unique color of the blooms. You'll be entranced watching the pointed buds open into the lush, lightly fragrant Roses.
Pollinators, floral arrangements, and gardens of all sizes gain immersive smokey colors the likes that few others can boast! Very cold-hardy throughout USDA growing zones 4 through 9, there is little this adaptable and versatile space-saving mini Rose won't be able to handle!
Planting and Application:
Miniature Roses make excellent "Fillers" for hardy Container Gardens. Try planting a trio around a showy compact flowering shrub or columnar evergreen for a look you'll love for many years with proper care. A fun way to make the most of Midnight Fire™ Mini Roses is to grow them in patio pots. Play up the orange or purple tones with a matching pot, or use unglazed terra cotta for a sophisticated visual partner.
Tie your landscape together this summer with several pots placed in your sunny spots. Keep the overall effect sleek and uniform with a series of the same kind of containers, or mix and match colors for a light-hearted feeling. Any patio becomes a butterfly garden and any balcony becomes a cut flower garden with these darling little blooms!
Enjoy the rich color of these blooms against mature evergreen shrubs to jazz up a "ho-hum" foundation planting. Run them on the outside of your front walk as a noteworthy low hedge, or carve out space on either side of your front door for a mass planting.
Use the tiny Midnight Fire™ Roses as facer shrubs to hide the leggy bare stems of existing shrubs, as well. Double or triple up staggered, zigzagging rows to create a wide band of opulent color, spacing them 12 inches apart on center.

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Easy to care for Rose bushes flower best with at least six hours of direct sunlight a day. Please select a planting site with well-drained soil and good air circulation for the best results. Apply a consistent amount of water, especially if you keep them in outdoor containers. Add a three-inch layer of mulch over the root system, but be sure to pull it back away from touching the canes.
Each fall, rake up and bag fallen leaf litter to place in your yard waste. In early spring, trim the canes down to six inches at a 45-degree angle just above a fat bud. Prune in early spring before you see new growth to 6 - 8 inches above the crown and mulch the site well for insulation and moisture retention.
