Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.
This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Understanding Plant Options
Nature Hills offers plants in two main formats:
- Container Plants: Grown in pots with soil, sized by container volume and plant age
- Bare Root Plants: Dormant plants without soil, sized by height measurements
Container Plant Sizes
Container sizes indicate plant age and growing capacity rather than liquid volume equivalents. Our containers follow industry-standard nursery "trade gallon" specifications, which differ from standard liquid gallon measurements.

- Age Indicators: Container size primarily indicates plant age and maturity rather than liquid volume equivalents
Growing Conditions
- Plant size can vary based on variety and growing conditions
- Container size helps indicate plant maturity and establishment level
- Larger containers generally mean more established root systems and faster landscape establishment

Growing Zones all zones as a houseplant
Great triple combo, the Little Zebra Plant, Thimble Cactus, and String of Pearls Succulents (Haworthiopsis fasciata, Mammillaria gracilis fragilis, Senecio rowleyanus) are a lovely contrast of textures and growing forms to add delight and interest to pots and planters! Any sunny location lets these beauties shine!
Little Zebra Plants are wonderful spikey, upward-growing plants with green swords covered in horizontal dots and dashes of creamy white raised bumps. Like an Aloe, the main plant begins growing pups that appear from the underside that can either be left to colonize a container or removed and potted into their own pots! Like their Aloe or Yucca cousins, these plants form tall spikes of unique blooms.
Thimble Cactus are green Cactus with a fine white netting that covers each round little protrusion. Often forming multiple mounded modified stems, these can create clusters of white mesh-covered 'thimbles'! You just may see some yellow blooms appear in the summer too!
Adorable and unique spillers, the String of Pearls are dangling jewel-like Succulents that have plump balls of soft green leaves that cascade along slender stems. Forming white blooms that look like little paintbrushes for a touch of extra interest! There's plants look best when allowed to dangle over a container's edge or suspended in a hanging planter.
Combine all three in one pot for a unique collection of textures, or plant them separately in their own pots to arrange on a desk or windowsill! Succulents and Cactus are very xeric plants and on the slower growing side. But don't let slow growth give you a reason to be concerned - it simply translates to no maintenance and no worry for you. They will rarely outgrow their pots and planters.
Planting and Application:
Accent any interiorscape in the home or office with these space-saving little plants! Singly planted in fancy pots and planters, or made into Kokedama allowed you to really show them off to the max. When planted together or mixed with other Succulent and Cactus 3 packs that Nature Hills carries, you get a wonderful effect! Ideal for use in terrariums, planters, and windowsill gardens without the fuss! Hang up in macrame planters in front of a sunny (not direct sun) window, or order one of our Portrait Gardens and create wall décor that goes vertical!
Create your own tabletop greenhouse, in groupings on a coffee table or on a front entry table for a unique specimen. Display on an office desk in any moderate sun location. Plant up in pretty pots on your bistro table and porch pots in the filtered sun, and these are great for patio seating areas, and as balcony décor. Any area protected from cold and away from drafts in a warm sunny area is perfect for these easy-care plants!
- Three Xeric Succulents & Cactus Combo
- Unique Selection of Forms & Textures
- Easy-Care & Low Moisture Needs
- Versatile Use Indoors & Outdoor Décor
- Hanging Plants, Pots & Planters, Mixed-Containers & Terrariums
#ProPlantTips for Care:
These low-maintenance plants need full sun to part sun to have the best growth and coloration but tend to become leggy in too little light. Indoor plants need bright, indirect light or a grow light in the home or office with just fluorescent light. True to their xeric nature, they need sandy, fast-draining soil and adequate measured moisture. So be careful while watering to always ensure you are not over-watering or under-watering.
However, don’t worry, once you know your plant, its needs will be very easy to meet! Should your plants get too leggy or need a haircut, you can punch back the plant and tuck those leaves or stems into the soil and they usually root for more plants for you to enjoy!
- Full Sun to Part Shade or Bright Indirect Light Indoors
- Sandy Very Well-Draining Soil
- Low to Moderate Moisture
- Pinch Back As Needed To Encourage Branching
- Easy Care & Low Maintenance
