Legacy Buffalo Grass is a variety of Buffalo grass developed by the University of Nebraska. Its dense canopy of fine leaf blades creates a very soft carpet which is perfect for lawn activities.
It has a dark blue-green color and only grows 3 to 5 inches high. It's lush and soft while at the same time durable and hardy.
Legacy Buffalo Grass was developed to have the look of bluegrass with the hardiness of Buffalo grass, and it certainly achieved that aim.
It will flourish in high sun but also tolerate the shady spots in your yard. Its deep roots mean that it requires 75% less water than other turf grasses.
An Established Lawn in as Little as 90 Days!
You will receive Accelerated Growth Plugs, the economical way to a buffalo grass lawn. Planting is quick and easy. With proper care, you can have an established lawn in as little as 90 days.
Plugs come as 70 per tray and are grown in greenhouses to ensure quality. We recommend one to four plugs per square foot of lawn depending on how dense you'd like it to be and how quickly you'd like it to fill in.
Your lawn will be among the first in the neighborhood to green up in the spring, and the vibrant color will last long into fall.
