Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

For really red Roses that stay color-fast and true, grow In The Mood™ Hybrid Tea Rose (Rosa 'WEKfrancoly') at home. You'll pay about the same as a bouquet from the florist, but enjoy many years of large, brilliant pure clear red blooms in recurring flushes from late spring through fall! These bruised, pouty blossoms are a deep purple-violet-red that smolders!

The double flowers open from very pointed buds into a classic Hybrid Tea shape that features around 25 rounded petals and a white mid-rib stripe on the outer petals. Each of these showy Tea Roses can reach up to five inches across! Can you picture the glamorous high impact it makes on your landscape? Not to mention all the happy butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds!

In The Mood™ is an upright, rounded bushy landscape plant with excellent genetics and disease resistance, hybridized by the famous Tom Carruth. Tolerating heat and humidity throughout USDA hardiness zones 5 through 10, there is very little these tough Hybrid Teas won't be able to withstand in your growing zone!

Planting and Application:

The bold red Roses are perfectly contrasted by matte green foliage with a touch of gray, or highlighting a hedge or foundation row of evergreens! Standing 4-5 feet tall at maturity and only spreading 3-4 feet wide, no landscape will have an excuse not to include this pouty little number accenting your outdoor spaces!

Even container gardens can accommodate this modest-sized shrub! Keep In The Mood™ Rose in patio pots along your sun-drenched deck or balcony railing. These luxurious bushes help hide unsightly views as a pretty privacy screen!

Why not turn an unused, sunny corner of your lot into a fabulously modern take on Cutting Garden? Life is short...grab hold of the pleasure of fresh flower arrangements by mixing In The Mood™ with our other high-end Hybrid Tea Roses and flowering perennials. Start collecting vases and set up a flower-arranging space for yourself at home. Regularly cutting fresh blooms for the vase will actually encourage faster-reblooming flushes to develop!

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Plant your Rose in full sun where they will receive at least six hours of sunlight a day, favoring morning sun to dry the leaves of dew. Roses also need well-drained soil and good air circulation to stay happy and healthy for years. Easy to grow, simply plant in organically enriched soil. Dig your planting hole twice as wide as the roots, but no deeper. Keep the soil level the same as we have them grown in at the nursery. Don't forget to add a 3-4 inch thick layer of arborist mulch.

Hybrid Tea Roses deserve the life-long support of symbiotic Nature Hills Root Booster at the time of planting. If the weather is dry, plan to give them a regular schedule of supplemental water. Feed your blooms a high-quality fertilizer according to the label directions.

Always wait to prune Roses until early spring when you pull the mulch away. At that time, prune each of the Rose canes down to 6 - 8 inches at a 45-degree angle just above a nice, fat bud. Growing Hybrid Tea Roses in zones colder than zone 7 should be mounded with 8-12 inches of mulch in late fall after the frost killed the leaves for best overwintering. Learn more about Rose pruning Here, and about winterizing Roses, and un-wintering Roses in spring in our #ProPlantTips Garden Blog!
