This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Nature Hills sells a large variety of plants with several options available. Plants are offered in both potted containers and as dormant bare root without soil. Here is a helpful resource to understand your options as you create a beautiful landscape with help from Nature Hills.

Seasonally, Nature Hills offers hand selected, high quality bare root trees, shrubs and perennials. Bare root plants are sold by height from the top of the root system to the top of the plant. Plants may be taller than the height minimums.
- Popular sizes of select trees are 1 foot, 2 feet, 3 feet, etc.
- Popular sizes of select bare root plants is 1 foot, 18 inches, etc.

In search of a beautiful, easy-care, colorful focal point for your landscape? It doesn't get much easier than our specialty Dappled Willow Tree Form (Salix integra 'Hakuro Nishiki') carefully crafted by our expert growers.
This single stem tree has a trunk and a rounded canopy. The leaves unfurl from the buds in spring in a variegated mix of cream, green and pink colors and mature into rich green.
Planting and Application:
All season long, Dappled Willows showcase their fine texture and loose and graceful, slightly weeping form. Watch as breezes lift and sway through your dynamic new tree-form accent.
You might nickname this wild, Dr. Suessian plant "The Lorax"! Even as the leaves drop in autumn, it offers stunning red stems to appreciate!
- Use a pair flanking either side of your front door for a big boost of curb appeal. No one can ignore a Dappled Willow; it adds a sprightly charm to staidly mature foundation plantings.
- Try a row along your patio, or alternate with the shrub form for a coordinated modern feature. Stick with an odd number of the tree-form; 3, 5, 7 or even 9 look best. Measure anywhere from five to eight feet apart from trunk to trunk.
- Gift yourself an outdoor garden room, and decorate with a specimen Dappled Willow Tree Form or three. You'll have four seasons of interest and add in a layer of soft, white noise as the wind rustles through the leaves.
- Keep them pruned into tight "lollipops" or let them be free and natural. Contrast them with the rigid forms of Adam's Needle Yucca and Sky Pencil Holly for a thought-provoking partnership.
- Create a new raised bed on the sunny side of your old Douglas Fir tree. The coral-red winter stems will jazz up any evergreen tree or shrub.
#ProPlantTips for Care:
They are easily grown in full sun or in partial shade. Give it at least four hours of direct sunlight for best results
- Like all Willows, Dappled Willow thrives in moist soil. However, once your plants are established, they will tolerate drier and well-drained soils better than most other Willows.
- As they establish themselves in your yard the first year or two, make sure they receive consistent watering. This will encourage deep root systems; as will Nature Hills Root Booster added to the planting hole.
- Prune the canopy to any size and clean up the trunk as needed in early spring. Extend the beautiful new growth coloration by cutting out the longest, oldest stems through the season.
