Just after Hyacinths and other early spring flowering bulbs bloom, Daffodils take their turn in the spotlight, sending up multiple stems in vivid sunshine-yellow double blooms! Sweetly scented, you'll enjoy Hummingbirds, bumblebees and other pollinators trying to wriggle into these ruffles while looking for nectar!
Also known as Narcissus or Jonquils, these perennial spring-flowering bulbs are tough, cold-hardy, and lovely in the home or garden! Use Golden Ducat Daffodil in planters and containers, or forced indoors for winter décor, floral bouquets, showy early spring color, or all of the above!
Planting and Application:
Golden Ducat Jonquils are incredibly low-maintenance, gardeners new and experienced enjoy their plant-and-forget style! Their smaller size makes them ideal for early spring planters on your porch or patio, or forced indoors for delightful winter gifts and decorations while you wait for spring! Imagine the bouquet you'll enjoy when it includes these brilliant and unique blooms! Try forcing them in a bulb-forcing vase or shallow dish for a break from winter doldrums!
Add vibrance to beds and borders while waiting for other plants to wake up. Plant groupings throughout perennial and cottage gardens, pollinator beds, and cutting borders at equal intervals for eye-catching pops of color! Or use long rows as edging and border plants! Container gardeners can also enjoy these cheerful blooms.

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Daffodil bulbs are easy to care for! Plant 6-8 inches deep at least 3 inches apart with the pointed end facing upward. Plant in a full sun to partial shade location (afternoon shade especially in the hotter of its favored growing zones of 3 to 9. Narcissus must have well-drained soil and moderate amounts of moisture. In colder growing zones, plant a little deeper so they can survive the winter. Add bulb fertilizer to each hole for best results. Deadhead after flowers fade but allow the foliage to remain to make food for the bulb.
- Full Sun or Some Partial Shade
- Moderately Moist Well-Drained Soil
- Deadhead After Bloom, Prune to Ground When Leaves Yellow
- Very Cold Hardy
- Deer & Rodent Resistant
