Early Sunrise blooms at least 3 weeks before most other Coreopsis but then continuously blooms from June through October.

How to Use Early Sunrise Coreopsis In The Landscape

Early Sunrise Coreopsis looks great with any type of ornamental grasses, other wildflowers, summer blooming perennials, and of course when combined with a wide variety of native plants.

Working best in n borders or mass plantings in sunny gardens and dry, sun-baked beds, Coreopsis is easy to grow, making them a great plant for the beginning gardener or for the Xeriscape garden.

Coreopsis grows in neat compact bunches, reaching a tidy 18-24 inches tall and about as wide. Though it is their prolific sunny-yellow blooms are the real stars of the show. Blooms beginning in late spring and don't stop until fall!

Like golden crowns rising above the fine-textured foliage, the ruffled flowers shine in the sun. And the sun is where these do the best. Sure to catch your eye as you stroll through the garden, as well as the eye of every bee and butterfly around!

A perfect selection for wildflower and pollinator gardens, Coreopsis plants are native to North America. They are as at home among your perennial gardens and cottage gardens as they are in commercial plantings and formal rows. Urban conditions are no problem for Coreopsis and they'll fit right in!

Don't let your cutting garden feel left out, Early Sunrise has long stems that last for several weeks in a vase and bouquet! That sunny yellow is sure to brighten anyone's spirits when presented a bouquet full of their ruffled, golden blooms.

#ProPlantTips For Care

Thriving in heat and sun, these natives are hardy plants but may need some protection in harsher climates. Still, Early Sunrise Coreopsis display their sunny faces in the wide range of hardiness zones 4 through 9.

Cold hardy and late to emerge than other perennials and even other Coreopsis, they put on a show for the rest of the growing season, making up for it with bountiful blooms!

Requiring well-drained soil and only moderate moisture. Once established, they require little watering and are highly drought-resistant perennials. Too much water makes them floppy and shortens their lifespan.

Doing amazing in low fertility soil, these are some of the easiest to grow! Since Early Sunrise thrives in poor soil and has low water needs, this Coreopsis will easily add beauty to any trouble spot in your garden!

Early Sunrise spread by rhizomes to form wide, dense-growing clumps. Dividing older plants will help keep Coreopsis looking neat and tidy. When left for the birds and not deadheaded, Coreopsis naturalizes with ease.

Deer resistant, there is no need to worry about these becoming a salad ar for unwelcome guests.

Early Sunrise Coreopsis should be cut back in early and late summer to extend the bloom period. Deadheading keeps the blooms coming back in droves! However, be sure to leave some in the fall for the birds to come in for a feast.

Every gardener should include one of these easy-care, super hardy native plants in their collection! You'll be glad you chose an Award-winning selection like Early Sunrise Coreopsis to bring glowing blooms to your landscape! Order yours from the wildflower experts at Nature Hills Nursery today!
