Growing Zones
Fat and fluffy teardrops, the vibrant green Cat's Eye Arborvitae bush (Thuja occidentalis 'Cat's Eye') is a unique and rare selection with compact upright growth which displays new growth that is a rich chartreuse! The naturally tidy growth looks professionally sheared and full through and through!
Cat's Eye Thuja is a show-stopper in the spring as the new growth displays an almost iridescent chartreuse greenish-yellow with golden-tipped new growth before fading to a verdant green. The flat sprays of scaled needles form dense branching for lush screening.
With a moderate rate of growth that won't jump its borders, Arborvitae like this are wonderfully cold-hardy throughout USDA growing zones 4 to 7. These pyramidal-shaped evergreens grow just 7-10 feet in height and 3-4 feet in width.
Planting and Application:
Star Power™ Junipers are fantastic garden specimens, focal points, and anchors that light up the landscape all year long! The fluffy blue-green needles stand out among the other summer greenery and winter snows alike!
Pot up a pair in dark planters or urns for a spectacular accent or plant in pairs on either side of your front entry or front steps with other blue-green evergreen groundcovers and shrubs to keep the theme going. Tough enough for Rock Gardens, and sun gardens, Junipers are wonderfully low-maintenance.
These mid-sized shrubs provide year-round screening or backdrops around your sun landscape. Dense enough to create an easy-care large windbreak or snow fencing by planting in drifts, rows, and groupings that fill in fast. Because of the prickly foliage, Star Power™ makes great barrier plants when planted closer together!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Arborvitae are low-maintenance and have very fibrous roots are easy to plant and grow in full sun and are not known for being aggressive. The spreading root systems prefer well-drained soil and a 3-4 inch thick layer of mulch over their surface to protect them. Thuja tolerates drier soils once established, or soils that may be wetter for short periods too. Just make sure you don't plant them too deep. Instead, place them at the same soil level as their growing container.
Water well at planting and keep them watered until they have roots established in your soil. It's always a great idea to water well in late fall before the soil freezes for the winter. Use the "Finger Test" by sticking your finger into the soil near the roots to the second knuckle. If it's moist, skip watering that day. If dry, a nice long drink is best. Prune these shrubs in the very early spring to shape as needed.

- Moderate Moisture Needs
- Appreciates Mulched Beds To Protect The Shallow Roots
