Beautiful Shastas!

Nice, healthy plant. I purchased this one to replace one I lost over the summer. It's the only one blooming and it puts my others to shame.

Thank you for the lovely review! It's great to hear that your replacement came in blooming and already outpacing the others. Keep it watered well while it settles into its new spot.

Looking Good So Far

Just arrived two weeks ago in very good condition and very healthy. Planted immediately after arrival and they are looking very good; one is ready to blossom. Have watered regularly. Just hoping they take root before this beautiful fall weather turns to winter.

Shasta Daisies are pretty adaptable, and getting one close to blooming just two weeks after planting is a great sign of how well they settled in. Keep up the consistent watering as the soil cools, and they should have enough time to establish good roots before the ground freezes. Thanks for the update, Andrew. We hope you get that first bloom before the season turns!

I’m very pleased with them

I’m very pleased with them. They are doing well. They were a nice size when I got them. So far they’re doing well.

Becky is such a reliable daisy, and it sounds like yours are off to a solid start. A good size at arrival really does make a difference in how quickly they settle in. With a little deadheading through the season, they should reward you with blooms well into fall. Thanks for sharing the update, Renee. The Nature Hills Team

Becky daisy

Awesome service. Survived shipment easily. Look fantastic. Glad I used your company.

Thank you for letting us know your ‘Becky’ Shasta Daisy arrived in such great shape and is already looking fantastic. These sun-loving perennials really shine when they get six or more hours of bright light, regular moisture while they root in, and a quick dead-heading after each flush of blooms to keep the flower show going. The University of Illinois Extension notes that well-drained soil is the key to long-lived daisies, so a light layer of compost each spring will keep your clump vigorous for many seasons. We’re thrilled you chose Nature Hills and can’t wait to hear how your daisy patch lights up the garden this summer.
Wishing you happy planting, The Nature Hills Plant Experts

Pretty as a daisy

Love my daisies! They bloom all summer and look great in a vase also!

Hi there! We're so glad to hear that you're loving your Becky Shasta Daisies! Excited to hear they're blooming all summer and adding beauty to your home. As a gardening tip, be sure to deadhead the spent blooms to encourage continuous blooming.

Happy gardening!

Frequently Asked Questions

Is daisy?

  • Yes, Daisy May® is a true Shasta Daisy (Leucanthemum x superbum) with classic white petals and sunny yellow centers. This perennial blooms continuously from summer through fall in zones 5-9. Deadhead spent flowers regularly to keep blooms coming all season long.

How big does a goji berry plant get?

  • I notice there's a mismatch in your request. You've provided product information about Amazing Daisies® Daisy May® Shasta Daisy, but you're asking for an FAQ answer about goji berry plant size. Could you clarify whether you'd like me to: 1. Write an FAQ about the Daisy May® Shasta Daisy using the provided product information, or 2. Write about goji berry plant size (though I don't see goji berry product details in your context) Which would you prefer?

How tall and wide will this Shasta Daisy grow at maturity?

  • Daisy May® Shasta Daisies typically reach 18-24 inches tall and 12-18 inches wide at maturity. These compact perennials form sturdy clumps with strong stems that hold up well to weather. Plant them 12-15 inches apart to allow proper air circulation and room for natural spreading.

Does this daisy need full sun or can it tolerate partial shade?

  • Shasta daisies perform best in full sun but can tolerate partial shade with slightly reduced flowering. Daisy May® is hardy in zones 5-9 and will bloom continuously summer through fall with adequate sunlight. For maximum blooms and strongest stems, provide at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily.

What type of soil does the Daisy May® variety prefer?

  • Daisy May® Shasta Daisies thrive in well-draining soil and tolerate average garden conditions. These hardy perennials adapt well across zones 5-9 in most soil types. Ensure good drainage to prevent root rot, and they'll reward you with blooms all summer long.

How often should I water this Shasta Daisy once established?

  • Established Shasta Daisies are quite drought tolerant and need watering only during extended dry periods. In zones 5-9, water deeply once weekly during summer if rainfall is less than 1 inch. Allow soil to dry between waterings to prevent root rot.

Is the Amazing Daisies® Daisy May® deer resistant?

  • Shasta daisies like Daisy May® are generally deer resistant due to their bitter taste and strong scent. While no plant is completely deer-proof, these hardy perennials in zones 5-9 are typically left alone by browsing deer. Plant them confidently in exposed areas like mailbox gardens where deer pressure is common.

How much fertilizer does the Daisy May® need during the growing season?

  • Daisy May® Shasta Daisies are low-maintenance perennials that don't require heavy fertilization. A light application of balanced fertilizer in early spring is sufficient for zones 5-9. Avoid over-fertilizing as it can reduce blooming and make stems weaker.
