these were packaged very securely

these were packaged very securely, I'm just hoping they get roots established before winter! I'm seeing bright new leaves forming so hopefully we're good... thanks!

Bright new leaves are a great sign, especially heading into the colder months. Let's Dance Lovable is a tough little rebloomer, and if you can keep the soil consistently moist while those roots settle in, it gives the plant a real head start before dormancy. A layer of mulch around the base will help insulate the root zone through winter too. Thanks for the kind note about our packaging!

They look great! Impressed by the packaging

They look great! Impressed by the packaging.

Solid packaging makes a real difference when a plant has to travel across the country, so it's good to hear the Sky View arrived in good shape. These mountain hydrangeas are tough once established, and with a little consistent moisture through the first season they tend to put on a nice show. Thanks for sharing, Geof. The Nature Hills Team

Good start

I cannot wait to see these plants mature and bloom! So far so good!

Let's Dance Sky View is a rewarding one to watch develop. As the stems mature and the reblooming kicks in, you should see fuller flower clusters each season. Thanks for sharing your early update, Kimmy, and enjoy watching them grow!

Best online retailer for hydrangeas

I ordered several Sky View Hydraneas from multiple online sources. Nature Hills’ was by far the healthiest. It had the most foliage and little buds that are maturing now about a month later. Hydrangeas from other nurseries arrived with huge flowers, but less “plant” if you will. They all really struggled after planting, dropping and flowers withering. Nature Hills’ didn’t, despite watering all the same way. Very happy with their plant!

Shipping a hydrangea in bud rather than full bloom is exactly the tradeoff we aim for. A plant with strong roots and solid foliage establishment tends to settle in and keep going, while one that arrives in peak flower has already spent a lot of its energy. It sounds like the Sky View is doing just that for you. Thanks for running the comparison and sharing what you found.

Beautiful Hydrangea

Beautiful Hydrangea that is big and very healthy. Can't wait to see it prosper over the summer.

A healthy start is half the battle with mountain hydrangeas, so it sounds like you are set up for a good season. Let's Dance Sky View tends to really hit its stride once the heat arrives, so keep an eye out for those blooms. Thanks for sharing the update, Christopher.

The plant came quickly and it is healthy

The plant came quickly and it is healthy. It is now established in a pot in my garden. I'm looking forward to it's blooms

Potting up a Let's Dance Sky View is a great move. It handles container life well as long as it gets consistent moisture, and you should be rewarded with those beautiful bigleaf-style blooms on new and old wood both. Thanks for sharing the update, Rita, and enjoy watching it settle in.

Let’s dance Moonlight bloom regularly - blue

Let’s dance Moonlight have bloomed regularly for about 10 yrs now against the house, mostly north exposure. Originally pink flowers when purchased but transitioned to purple and now blue in our soil. 3’ in ht. When nearby grass was limed they reverted to pinkish purple then back to mostly blue. We are zone 6b and with recent Very hot dry summers they wilt with the brief afternoon sun they get. Unfortunate. May have to consider moving them if these conditions continue every year. Otherwise very pleased with them

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a lovely review! It sounds like you've done a great job with your Bigleaf hydrangeas. ‘Let’s Dance Moonlight’ are happiest with morning sun and afternoon shade, consistently moist (not soggy) soil, and a 2–3' mulch to keep roots cool; if the brief afternoon sun keeps stressing them, consider moving them in fall/early spring to a spot with dappled light. Thanks again - Nature Hills Customer Support

Small size

I was hoping the flower color would be a deeper pink but the plant size is swell for us.

Hi Jake,

Thank you so much for sharing your feedback with us! We’re delighted to hear the Proven Winners® Let's Dance® Moonlight Hydrangea is a good size for your space. Regarding the flower color, the “Moonlight” variety typically blooms with soft, best-in-class pastel hues rather than deeper pinks. If you’re looking for richer pink blooms, you might consider varieties like “Let’s Dance® Blushing Bride” or “Penny Mac,” which tend to have more vibrant pink tones.

If you’d like, we’re happy to help recommend additional shrubs or watering and care tips to bring out the best colors in your current hydrangea. Hydrangeas can sometimes display color variations depending on soil pH and fertilization, so amending your soil with slightly acidic or aluminum-rich additives might gently influence bloom color.

Thanks again for choosing Nature Hills — we’re always here to help you grow the garden of your dreams!

Hi Jake,

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with the Proven Winners® Let's Dance® Moonlight Hydrangea! We're glad to hear that the plant size fits well with your space. We appreciate your note about the flower color—these hydrangeas often bring subtle variations depending on growing conditions such as soil pH and sunlight exposure.

If you’re aiming for a deeper pink hue, you might consider slightly adjusting your soil’s acidity by adding garden lime, which helps reduce acidity and encourages pinker blooms. Also, providing ample sunlight (around 4-6 hours a day) can enhance color vibrancy. Feel free to reach out if you'd like guidance on soil testing or more care tips to achieve the perfect bloom shade.

Thanks again for your feedback, Jake! We’re here anytime you need plant advice.

To keep your hydrangea thriving and encouraging even more blossoms, make sure it’s planted in well-drained soil with plenty of afternoon shade, and consider applying a balanced fertilizer in early spring and mid-summer. We appreciate you taking the time to leave your feedback and hope your hydrangeas keep bringing you joy for many seasons to come!
