Package was damaged, the plant shriveled and lots of top branches completely broken off, extremely disappointing since it was expensive.looked like something on the sale rack at Walmart

Just starting to bud

Just starting to bud. It came very well protected and healthy.

Snow White Mock Orange is a reliable bloomer once it gets settled in, so those first buds are a good sign it arrived in good shape. Glad the packaging held up well through shipping. It should fill out nicely and reward you with a great flush of fragrant flowers as it matures. Thanks for sharing the early update, Lisa!

It is putting on buds !

Good shipping and it is growing.

Buds are always a good sign, especially early on when a new plant is still getting settled. Mock Orange is worth the wait once it hits its stride, the fragrance on those blooms is hard to beat. Thanks for the update, Mike!

INCREDIBLE

I just located your site today only to discover that you are out of stock of what I consider to be the most beautiful plant in the universe. I had one that was over 40 years old at my last home, unfortunatly that went with the ex - I did try to take the tree with me but it was not to be. I remember how every year I would wait for it to bloom so I could open the window that it was planted in front of to have the scent fill my house. I miss my tree, and the magical perfume it gave out, it remains the only good memory I have of that house. Buy as many as you can you will think Gardinas smell like a dump compared this a Mock Orange Blossom.

Frequently Asked Questions

What USDA hardiness zones is Snow White™ Mock Orange suitable for?

  • Snow White™ Mock Orange thrives in USDA zones 4-8, handling cold Minnesota winters with ease. This hardy shrub performs exceptionally well in urban environments and challenging conditions. Plant with confidence knowing it will reliably bloom twice yearly even in colder northern climates.

What is the mature size of Snow White™ Mock Orange at full growth?

  • Snow White™ Mock Orange reaches 4-6 feet tall and wide at maturity, forming a rounded, densely branched shrub. The arching growth habit makes it perfect for privacy screens when planted 30 inches apart. Shop this fragrant bloomer at naturehills.com.

Does Snow White™ Mock Orange grow well in full sun or does it need shade?

  • Snow White™ Mock Orange thrives in full sun to partial shade conditions. This hardy shrub performs beautifully even in challenging urban environments with plenty of sunlight. For best flowering and fragrance, plant in a location that receives at least 6 hours of direct sun daily.

What type of soil does Snow White™ Mock Orange prefer for planting?

  • Snow White™ Mock Orange thrives in well-draining soil and adapts to various soil types. This hardy shrub tolerates urban conditions and poor soils once established. Plant in average garden soil with good drainage for best flowering performance.

How often should I water Snow White™ Mock Orange, especially after planting?

  • Water newly planted Snow White™ Mock Orange deeply twice weekly for the first month, then weekly once established. This hardy shrub is quite drought tolerant after its first season. Check soil moisture 2 inches down and water when dry, available at naturehills.com.

When is the best time to prune Snow White™ Mock Orange?

  • Prune Snow White™ Mock Orange immediately after its spring bloom cycle ends. Since this variety blooms twice yearly (spring and summer), early pruning preserves the summer flush. Remove spent flowers and shape the shrub in late spring for best results.

Is Snow White™ Mock Orange deer-resistant or do I need to protect it?

  • Snow White™ Mock Orange is generally deer-resistant due to its strong citrus fragrance, which deer typically avoid. The aromatic double blooms that perfume your yard in spring and summer naturally deter browsing. In areas with heavy deer pressure, consider planting near patios or high-traffic areas where the scent is strongest.

Does Snow White™ Mock Orange come with a warranty or guarantee if it arrives damaged?

  • Nature Hills stands behind their plants with a one-year warranty against defects and shipping damage. If your Snow White™ Mock Orange arrives damaged or fails to establish within the first year, they'll replace it. Contact customer service immediately upon delivery with photos of any damage for fastest resolution.

Is Snow White™ Mock Orange fragrant, and how strong is the scent?

  • Snow White™ Mock Orange produces intensely fragrant double white blooms with a clean citrus scent that perfumes the entire yard. The fragrance is strong enough to make neighbors happy and creates a natural aromatherapy effect. Plant near patios or walkways to fully enjoy the orange-like aroma during spring and summer blooms.

What fertilizers or maintenance does Snow White™ Mock Orange need in spring?

  • Snow White™ Mock Orange requires minimal spring maintenance once established. Apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring before new growth begins, and add a 2-3 inch layer of mulch around the base. Prune lightly after the first spring bloom if needed to maintain shape.
