Clematis Silmakivi, Clematis 'Kivisilm', is a free flowering cultivar with an abundance of 6 inch flowers that are light blue, with lighter blue, almost white, stripe. Creamy yellow anthers accent the centers. A comforting contrast to darker, richer plants.
Clematis Silmakivi is a long blooming variety, beginning in June and continuing through September! At only 6-8 feet tall, this clematis is perfect for a container or small garden trellis.
Clematis Silmakivi needs a supporting structure to grow properly and it is easy to grow with a rich, porous, alkaline soil that has plenty of room for the roots to spread
Best performance is when the tops are in full sunlight and the roots are shaded, so apply generous mulch or a shallow-rooted ground cover near the base of the vine. Prune only after flowering is completed by removing any weak or dead stems
