To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Seasonally, Nature Hills offers hand selected, high quality bare root trees, shrubs and perennials. Bare root plants are sold by height from the top of the root system to the top of the plant. Plants may be taller than the height minimums.

This Japanese Maple Tree is full of fall colors such as red-purple, yellow, and bronze. And who doesn't love fall colors?
The Tsuma Gaki Japanese Maple (Acer palmatum 'Tsuma Gaki') has lobes that are yellow-green that transition out to red at the tips for a lovely two-tone effect! The lobes appear as if they just got done with a relaxing manicure!
In the summer the leaves turn green before they eventually take on a ravishing red and yellow coloration in the fall. Throughout the year this deciduous tree gives off a variety of colors that always give you something to look forward to!

Plant Japanese Maples in full sun in cooler climates, but in partial, filtered, or afternoon shade locations in hotter growing zones 5 to 9 to prevent the delicate leaves from burning. Maples need a well-drained soil location with regular moisture access and a 3-4 inch deep layer of mulch around the roots. Not only does the mulch look great, but it helps keep even moisture as well as protect your maple against pesky diseases and pests. Prune in the late winter to shore up any broken or unruly branches.
