Plant Sentry™
Plant Sentry™
Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.
This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Growing Zones 4-9
If Roses are the 'Queen of the Sun Garden' then Astilbe is the 'Mae West of the Shade'! A little bawdy, a little sexy, and always dressed to the nines with fluff and sass! The Younique™ White Astilbe (Astilbe x 'Verswhite') is a new cultivar bred in the Netherlands to produce stronger foliage and flowering than ever before – and boy does it ever deliver!
This compact shade-lover doesn't scrimp on flower-power despite its tight, small form. Even though it only grows to 20 inches tall, it covers itself in full-sized pure white fluffy flowers! It looks like it's wearing a feather boa! The flower plumes are fragrant and are borne on slender stems that shoot straight up from the center of the foliage. The foliage is very fern-like. It forms an attractive mound of spring-green leaves that stay compact and dense.
You get a long season of beautiful bloom as new flowers open and old flowers fade. The flowers are excellent cuts, either fresh or dried. The bees, butterflies, and even hummingbirds will stop by for a visit if you leave them their fair share of blooms outdoors!
Heat and cold-tolerant perennials, Astilble are also known as Meadowsweet or False Spirea. Growing throughout USDA planting zones 4 to 9, and stay small and space-saving at just 1 - 2 feet in height and width.
Landscape Application:
Astilbe is a classic shade garden plant and it especially loves wet spots! It looks fantastic in big drifts in the shade border or under big trees where other plants might struggle. Try Younique™ White throughout the understory, in dappled damp spots, or around the outskirts of ponds and rain gardens!
This is a spreading herbaceous perennial that will fill in quickly wherever it's happy! Creating easy mass plantings and drifts! On the flip side, Younique™ is a must-have addition to smaller gardens, urban decks, or your shaded balcony both in the ground or in mixed planters and containers!
Cottage gardens and Moon gardens light up and mixed perennial borders gain a frilly lacy foliage plant with outstanding summertime blooms as edging and finishing touches! Line walkways and the shady side of an evergreen hedge with these versatile perennials!
- Beautiful Plume-Like Scented White Flowers
- Pollinator Friendly & Attracts Hummingbirds
- Lacy Finely-Cut Foliage
- Sized for Smaller Gardens, Balconies, Patios & Containers
- Perfect For Shady Borders & Beds & Massing
#ProPlantTips for Care:
Astilbe needs to be planted in a partial shade location, either all-day dappled shade, or morning sun, and afternoon shade locations work perfectly! Plant in well-drained organically-enriched soil with regular moisture access. Mulched beds are the best to keep these perennials happy. Keep the foliage intact after it dies back in the fall and wait until spring to clean up the old foliage before new growth emerges. Divide these plants every few years to maintain their vigor.
- Partial Shade Perennial
- Well-Drained Soil That's Organically Enriched
- Consistent Moisture Access
- Prune Early Spring Before New Growth
- Easy To Grow & Deer, Pest, Disease & Rabbit-Resistant
- Herbaceous Perennial Comes Every Year
