Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

Shipping Rates

At Nature Hills we handle, package and ship the products you order with the utmost care to ensure healthy delivery. Shipping and handling charges are calculated based on the tables below. If you like the idea of growing and harvesting your own berries but are afraid that they'll be too hard, too time-consuming, or too much trouble, we'd like to introduce you to the Yezberry® Maxie™ Japanese Haskap Bush (Lonicera caerulea YEZBERRY 'Kuchi'). You know all about blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, and raspberries because you can buy them in your local supermarket year-round, but Japanese Haskaps may not be familiar to you.

The unique white blossoms in spring attract a host of pollinators and quickly become these large, delicious blue fruit! Plant with its pollinator partner, the Yezberry® Solo Japanese Haskap and enjoy a larger harvest per plant! Certainly conversation starters anywhere in the sunny landscape!

These pure-bred Japanese berries are also natural natives of North America which means that they are very adaptable to just about any soil and just about any pH level you'll encounter. All that they need is lots of sun and water and they will grow just about anywhere from zone 7 to zone 3!

Planting and Application:

These berries are the biggest Haskaps available and have a tart-sweet taste that is a cross between a ripe blueberry and blackberry or raspberry. Eat them straight off of the bush or use them to make jam, sauces, and desserts.

These can grow to a sizeable 5-6 feet in height and 4-8 feet wide, so perfect for hedges, shelterbelts and privacy. Plant rows for screening and delightful fruit, or groupings that are sure to attract every songbird in the neighborhood to roost! Pollinators adore the blooms and you’ll enjoy these dual-purpose ornamental plants!

  • Biggest Berries & Biggest Taste
  • Sweet-Tart Blue Berries
  • Very Cold Hardy Native
  • Ornamental Flowering Shrub
  • Superfruit & Easy-Care

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Also called Honeyberry, these bushes do best in full sun, so provide at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day. Loving consistent moisture and enriched soil, be sure to provide a thick layer of mulch over the soil surface to hold in moisture and insulate the roots.

  • Full Sun
  • Enriched Well-Drained Moist Soil
  • Prune Immediately After Harvest
  • Loves Mulch
  • Easy-To-Care For & Not pH-Dependent
