The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Growing Zones 3-9
Delicate and bashful ephemerals, the Yellow Trillium plants (Trillium sessile 'Luteum') are gorgeous woodland rarities in the wild. But you can enjoy them in your garden and throughout the dappled shade! The unique blooms are solitary pointed petals that form a triangle and are backed by a green triangle of sepals. A single curious bloom floats atop a trio of broad, pointed green leaves. The silvery green and soft green two-tone foliage is a highlight of this plant for the remainder of the summer.
Trillium are classic forest wildflowers that thrive in the same conditions as Lady’s Slippers and Jack-in-the-Pulpits. Individual plants grow 12-18 inches tall and spread 12-24 inches wide at maturity. Loving rich, highly-organic locations where there is plenty of leaf litter and moisture. Blooming 2-3 weeks, eventually forming a fleshy, berry-like fruit in the summer that wildlife love to eat.
These tender perennial rhizomes bloom in the early spring and thrive throughout the USDA growing zones 3 through 9 and gradually colonizing small areas. Trillium are known by many names including Wake Robin, Bethroot, and Stinking Benjamin, and have been held in regard as old-world medicinals back in the day.
Planting and Application:
Yellow Trillium plants only bear a single, solitary flower per plant, so planting in groupings, swaths and en masse is essential to achieving the best display of these rare woodland gems! Wind a row throughout a shade garden, broadcast through a rich forest floor and shady glen, or along the moist footpaths of a heavily shaded backyard.
Plant in clusters along a stream bed or brook and in dappled shade meadows to gain the biggest impact! Early spring ephemerals with fall color, use these lovely specimens throughout bogs and Rain Gardens, along brooks and ponds edges, or create a woodland garden of shade wildflowers.

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Trillium is a tender perennial that spreads slowly by rhizomes in moist, humus-rich soil. Plant in any partial shade/part sun and prefer to be planted in well-drained and consistently moist soil. Mulch the soil well with 3-4 inches of arborist bark chips to hold in moisture.
