Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Growing Zones 3-9
Yellow Onion (Allium cepa) are easy-to-grow garden standards that will add loads of flavor to your recipes! Growing to several inches in diameter and is considered a medium-to-large globe variety. Yellow Onion has white to yellow flesh and brownish-yellow skins.
Its well-rounded flavor and ability to transform from having a bite to being mellow and sweet make it one of the most popular varieties in grocery stores. Yellow Onions are also adored by gardeners because they resist going to seed when the weather gets warmer.
Maturing around 100 days, Yellow Onions retain their juice and stores for several months and have firm skin that protects them long after harvest. The taste is rich and lingers on the palate but can vary depending on the growing conditions. They store well. Hang to dry and once dry they will store well most of the winter, up to six months.
Planting and Application:
These yellow onions offer an excellent, clean flavor that is spicy when used raw. There's no better Onion to have sliced raw on a burger or as a spicy bite in a salad. This variety is an excellent cultivar to use as green onions as well as letting them grow into Onions for storage. Some like to plant in the fall for a short-season Green Onion.
Plant these space-saving edible bulbs in your Kitchen garden for easy access to flavorful cooking and garnish - because not only are the bulbs edible, but also the leaves, scapes, and flowers too! Tuck in groupings or in rows throughout Herb gardens and are no-brainers for the Veggie garden too! Even container gardeners can grow Garlic in their mixed planters and in containers too!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Plant Yellow Onions in full sun in the spring to take advantage of the cool weather leaving with about 4-6 inches between. Water them well to help them establish and as needed to keep the plants most actively growing right up until late spring or early summer.
Once their foliage turns brown, it's time to harvest. Pull or spade the onions from the ground turning them upside down and let them sit in the sun for a few days to let the roots dry before gathering the tops and hanging them to dry in a dry garage or basement where they can be used for months.
