Understanding Plant Options
Nature Hills offers plants in two main formats:
- Container Plants: Grown in pots with soil, sized by container volume and plant age
- Bare Root Plants: Dormant plants without soil, sized by height measurements
Container Plant Sizes
Container sizes indicate plant age and growing capacity rather than liquid volume equivalents. Our containers follow industry-standard nursery "trade gallon" specifications, which differ from standard liquid gallon measurements.

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Needing full sun to do their best, Yarrow tolerates poor soil and does best in lean, well-drained soil. They are adaptable to almost any soil with adequate drainage. For their first year, provide regular moisture, but once established, your Yarrow can be drought-tolerant! Top the root system with a 3-4 inch deep layer of arborist mulch.
Deadhead spent flowers to encourage a rebloom. It is recommended you divide these perennials every 3-4 years in the spring and prune your mounds back each year in early spring before you see new growth. Attractive to butterflies, but pest, disease, deer and rabbit resistant, Yarrow are rugged little garden gems with a carefree attitude!
- Performs in Heat & Full Sun
- Drought Tolerant & Tolerates Dry Rocky Soil
- Needs Well-Drained Sites
- Moderate to Low Moisture Needs Once Established
- Prune Early Spring
- Rabbits & Deer Resist This Cultivar
