Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Growing Zones 5-9
The Wabash Pawpaw Tree (Asimina triloba 'Wabash'), named after the Wabash Cannonball, has been around for less than a hundred years but is part of a prestigious lineage of native American fruits. In fact, pawpaws are the largest edible fruit native to the United States.
Each spring, you will adore the exotic-looking blossoms that hang face-down from the branches. You will have plenty of opportunities to photograph pollinators stopping to enjoy them. Unfortunately, these visitors won't pollinate your tree, so hand pollinate them or plant more than one variety to best set fruit.
Members of the Custard Apple family, which includes a number of tropical favorites, such as Cherimoyas, Soursops, and more. The Wabash is one of the best varieties of Pawpaw for home gardeners, and they are the size of cannonballs! They have sweet, soft cream-colored flesh with bright green skins with hints of yellow.
Planting and Application:
The Wabash Pawpaw maintains a small, conical form that glows green with verdant leaves. Once autumn arrives, these flush to a popping golden-yellow and the branches will be full of heavy fruit. This Cannonball tree makes a splash as a feature in your yard!
Great Shade trees too, you'll enjoy them year-round for all their ornamental beauty! Check out all the recipes online and you will have a hard time picking just one from all the delicious choices that you will find made from this native exotic fruit!
- Very Good Yield - Bears In 2 - 3 Years
- Large, Sweet Fruit
- Late Season Ripening
- Creamy Yellow Tropical Custard Flavor
- Understory & Specimen, Exotic-Looking Shade
#ProPlantTips for Care:
Plant your Pawpaw in full sun to get the best yield, but it will thrive in its natural place in the shade since it's an understory tree in the wild. Wabash is both naturally disease and insect-resistant and shrugs off below-zero chill. Consider shading your tree from the hot summer sun during its first year, but that is a small price to pay for the delicious fruit that you will harvest.
- Full Sun & Part Shade
- Adapts to Any Well-Drained Soil
- Low Care & Moisture Needs
- Requires Pollinator Partner
- Insect & Disease Resistant
Order your Wabash Pawpaw Tree today from NatureHills.com before they are gone! In a few short years, you will be sharing your pawpaws with the neighbors, so you might want to order a couple so you have plenty to go around!
