The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Big fat and fluffy lacecap blossoms, the plush Chiquita Viburnum (Viburnum sargentii 'Chiquita') is a compact form of Sargent Viburnum and retains all the same perks but in a smaller space-saving form! It profusely produces flowers and fruit nicely. The creamy white pinwheel-like flowers appear in late May much to the delight of your pollinators!
The lovely tri-lobed green foliage may be slower growing, but that just means you’ll enjoy a low-maintenance shrub that rarely needs pruned and fussed over! Maintaining a rounded, dense form all on its own! The foliage is an incredible backdrop to the profuse blooms that smother this entire shrub each spring!
Forming among the gorgeous bronzy red fall foliage are dazzling bright red berries for fall and winter interest! Birds flock to these drupes in droves as they prepare for winter! Chiquita is an excellent bloomer with an abundant fruit set and is certainly a shrub for all seasons! Hardy throughout USDA growing zones 4 through 7, these are deer-resistant wildlife shrubs and vital pollinator resources!
Planting and Application:
Surround your seating areas and outdoor rooms with these big flouncy blossoms and the brilliant fall fruit as low-care hedges and living walls to create outdoor rooms for privacy! The lush foliage and dense growth make them ideal backdrops to your Rose gardens, perennial and cottage borders and as green finery to accent a pathway, fenceline or to accent your driveway! Add a row to separate your front yard from a busy sidewalk, or as a screening row between your backyard and the neighbors.
Those big fluffy blossoms are made for Moon Gardens and for accenting pollinator borders and the compact growth becomes perfect in wildlife gardens, shelterbelts and bird-friendly habitats! Feed wildlife and give them shelter without sacrificing ornamental beauty for your landscape! Use a specimen by your front steps, along your front foundation landscaping, or accent a mixed-shrub border!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
A cultivar of the native Cranberrybush Viburnum, these deciduous shrubs are super easy to grow in part sun to full sun, and appreciate moisture, these are cold-hardy shrubs in USDA growing zones 4 through 8. Viburnum fruits best in full sun but will also perform beautifully in partial shade. Preferring moist, well-drained soil, these are widely adaptable to most soil types and moisture levels once established.
Prune only after the flowers fade, though you will miss out on those colorful berries! Renewal prune out the largest and oldest stems each winter to rejuvenate your shrub. Resistant to deer, Black Walnut tree juglone and cold, there's little that fazes these deciduous shrubs!
- Full Sun & Partial Shade
- Adaptable to Most Well-Drained Soil Types
- Provide Mulched Beds & Regular Moisture
- Prune After Flowering To Deadhead & Shape
- Deer Don't Prefer The Taste & Juglone Resistant
- Exceptionally Cold Hardy & Adaptable
- Easy-Care & Low Maintenance
