This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Growing Zones 3-9
Grow the dramatic effect of your backyard while shrinking your environmental footprint by planting a USDA Organic White Oak Tree (Quercus alba). With this specially raised Oak, there is no need to worry about sprays or harsh chemicals with this USDA Organic tree!
This deciduous Oak was grown without the use of neonicotinoids and has been grown according to the USDA's Organic standards, meaning there has been no use of prohibited pesticides and fertilizers while growing or used in the soil for at least three years prior.
The foliage takes on a silvery hue overlaying the majestic green. The widely branched canopy creates a rounded crown that is known to shine like an actual royal heirloom in the early spring mornings.
In the fall the leaves turn a brilliant purplish-red before settling on the ground ready to be made into the perfect pile for jumping into. You'll also find a plethora of acorns that, while smaller than other varieties, are much less bitter. Indigenous Americans often gathered them as food too! It is still recommended you leach out the tannins to make them safer and more palatable to eat.
Extremely cold-hardy and adaptable throughout USDA planting zones 3 to 9, these Native trees handle occasional drought and wet soil locations with ease!
Landscape Application:
The goal of USDA organic trees and plants is to integrate biological, cultural, and mechanical practices that end up fostering the conservation of resources, promote ecological balance, and promote biodiversity!
While all of this seems complicated, the bottom line is that this is a top-of-the-line White Oak that'll thrive in your landscape and give you a shady spot to rest or read a book for decades to come!
Try using one as a single specimen planting in your backyard so that one day you'll have the perfect place to hang a tire swing. Or plant in the front yard to increase your property value as the years pass.

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Needing full sun, the White Oak is blissfully fuss-free and grows in many types of well-draining soils, including those that remain dry periodically. After your tree becomes established in the landscape, it becomes somewhat waterwise...although we do recommend you give it supplemental water to keep it happy and healthy. Encourage a deep root system by establishing young trees with regular deep waterings and a 3-4 inch deep layer of mulch around the root system. Prune if needed in the late winter.
