Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Nature Hills offers plants in two main formats:
- Container Plants: Grown in pots with soil, sized by container volume and plant age
- Bare Root Plants: Dormant plants without soil, sized by height measurements

The Urban Pinnacle® Bur Oak Tree (Quercus macrocarpa 'JFS-KW3') is a top performer when it comes to Oak trees! It offers superior disease resistance and diminutive acorns that are marginal in size compared to the native Bur Oaks.
The Urban Pinnacle® Bur Oak grows tall and strong and will do so for decades! This much strength and majesty can only be gained in a slow and steady way! Cutting corners will result in a weaker tree and no one wants a weak legacy tree!
The Urban Pinnacle® Bur Oak is upright with a narrow form. It becomes flocked in thick, glossy, green leaves for a lush spring scene, and these fun Oak leaves are lobed and wider than other Oak varieties. These lovely leaves create a lavish colorful scene comes fall as they turn to a brilliant yellow-gold.
Cold-hardy throughout USDA planting zones this gorgeous ornamental shade tree grows 50 - 60 feet tall and 20 - 25 feet wide, much smaller than their native Bur Oak siblings.
Landscape Application:
Sometimes spelled Burr Oak, if you're looking for an Oak that makes a statement and will cloak your yard in rich shade, this is it! Prepare your book and a garden glider, you will want to spend more time in your yard with one of these stately and attractive oaks.
The strong limbs offer plenty of privacy for the birds that choose to nest here. The acorns feed plenty of wildlife as well! Plant your Urban Pinnacle® Oak in the backyard and watch the squirrels and birds frolic from spring to fall.
This Oak is also an excellent choice for urban areas (as its name implies), so don't hesitate to plant a few along your roadway. Use this as a pinnacle point for vertical height in the yard or as an addition to backyard shade for your and your dog's house! Set one on the westerly side of your home to reduce cooling bills!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Plant your Oak in a sun-drenched, well-drained location with regular water access, especially when young. Deep waterings create deep roots that handle drought better than other trees and a 3-4 inch deep layer of mulch helps keep your tree stress-free! Prune if needed in the late winter.
