Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

Radiant spring beauties, the Lilac Wonder Tulip (Tulipa species 'Lilac Wonder') is an incredible smaller Tulip species with bright lavender-pink pointed petals that fade to near white before dramatically transitioning into a large brilliant, yellow eye!

Softly fragrant, they may look like Crocus and carry the Crocus diminutive stature, but Lilac Wonder features the wide, arching green foliage and central rosette of the Tulip family! They carry the sweet fragrance you'd expect from a spring flowering bulb and all the incredible cold hardiness too!

Perennial bulbs are easy-care and very low maintenance, just plant them and they'll bloom every year, multiplying and forming tidy clumps when happy!

Planting and Application:

These are spectacular blossoms for beds and borders in any sunny or dappled sun setting! Let these run throughout your perennial and cottage gardens, add bright color to rock gardens or plant in rows along gardens as edging and low border plants. They are great for small nosegays and bouquets too, so include a few in your cutting gardens!

Bulbs like these are ideal in large, protected planters where they won't freeze solid. Even indoors, they can be forced to bloom earlier for enlivening winter décor! Mix among other spring bulbs or intersperse among larger perennials and shrubs, where the later emerging foliage will shade out these tender perennials once the sun becomes too hot for them in summer.

  • Mauvy, Pinkish-Lavender Fading to White
  • Large Bright Yellow Eyes
  • Strappy Wide Green Foliage Rosettes
  • Cold Hardy Perennial Bulb
  • Early Spring Color in Beds, Borders & Containers

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Plant Tulips in the fall 6 to 8 weeks before a hard freeze. Each bulb is put in a hole with the pointy end upward and at least 8 inches deep. The location should be well-drained and in full to partial sun. Tulips do not like continuously wet soil so water only if it gets very dry in the fall.

  • Full Sun & Partial Shade
  • Moderate Moisture
  • Well-Drained Enriched Site
  • Deadhead After Bloom Fades
  • Dislikes Soggy Conditions

Order the lovely Lilac Wonder Tulip today for spring blooms tomorrow! NatureHills.com ships your fall-planted bulbs right on time in the autumn before your ground freezes based on your climate and growing zone!
