#ProPlantTips for Care:

Yes, Touch of Class™ takes just a bit more care, but aren't the finest things in life worth it? You'll love every minute spent babying these beauties and coaxing their pretty blooms into full flower, so lavish your love on them! Their effervescent charm and beauty more than make up for their nominal care.

Full sun, great soil drainage, and air circulation set the stage for success with Hybrid Tea Roses. Provide consistent water, Rose food, and proper hygiene by picking up and disposing of leaf litter. Provide at least a 3 to 4-inch layer of mulch over the soil to improve moisture retention and insulate, but do not let it pile against the crown. Growing Hybrid Tea Roses in zones colder than zone 7 should be mounded with 8-12 inches of mulch in late fall for best overwintering.

Hybrid Tea Roses have it all - beauty, and fragrance and they are easy to grow. Don't let their sulky reputation fool you...they're still a very modern Rose bush, after all. Read all you need about pruning Roses, winterizing, and un-wintering Roses in the spring in our #ProPlantTips Garden Blog!

You can plant Roses any time if you are able to provide enough consistent moisture and attention. While there is not a specific month that is best, generally because it changes with temperatures, climate and growing zone. However, the easiest times of the year to get Rose bushes established in your landscape are in spring after the last frost date, and in fall about 4-6 weeks before the first frost.

Beautiful Plant not a Barefoot

I recently ordered and received my rose and it was in such beautiful condition. I live in Tennessee and it is very, very hot here right now. I did shade the plant during the hottest period of the day with a huge patio umbrella. It did lose some leaves because of stress, but two weeks later I have new growth already, I would definitely order from this company again. I might add it was very well packaged as well so as not to disturb the plant at all.

Dear Judy U.,

Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful feedback with us! We’re delighted to hear that your rose arrived in beautiful condition and that you’re already seeing new growth despite the Texas heat challenges. Your careful shading with the patio umbrella was a smart move—roses can be sensitive to intense sun when newly planted, and it sounds like you’ve handled it wonderfully.

Losing some leaves initially can be a normal sign of transplant stress, especially in hot weather, but new growth is an excellent sign that your rose is healthy and adapting well. If you ever need additional tips as the seasons change, feel free to explore our online resources or reach out anytime—we’re here to help your plants thrive no matter your local climate.

We truly appreciate your trust in us and look forward to supporting your gardening journey again in the future!

Bloom on,

Dear Judy,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with your rose! We’re delighted to hear that your plant arrived in such beautiful condition and that it’s already showing new growth despite the challenging Tennessee heat. It’s wonderful that you took the precaution of shading it during the hottest hours—that care definitely helped mitigate the stress. As your rose gets established, consistent watering in the early morning or late evening can also help reduce transplant stress and encourage healthy growth.

We’re glad the packaging met your expectations too; we strive to deliver plants securely without disturbance, especially in challenging shipments.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about care as your rose continues to flourish. We look forward to being a part of your gardening journey for years to come!

Rooting for your garden’s success,
Your Nature Hills Plant Care Team
