This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Nature Hills sells a large variety of plants with several options available. Plants are offered in both potted containers and as dormant bare root without soil. Here is a helpful resource to understand your options as you create a beautiful landscape with help from Nature Hills.

Seasonally, Nature Hills offers hand selected, high quality bare root trees, shrubs and perennials. Bare root plants are sold by height from the top of the root system to the top of the plant. Plants may be taller than the height minimums.

Telstar Dutch Iris (Iris x hollandica 'Telstar') almost looks like your typical Iris, but this little gem is sweetly fragrant, easy to care for, and a rich deep blue to royal purple that lights up the landscape! Each of the three falls has a vivid yellow splash that attracts attention and Hummingbirds galore!
Late spring to early summer blooming, these fleur-de-lis crown straight stems and erect green grassy foliage, Telstar forms vertical clumps of elegant blooms! They are sure to look lovely in the landscape as long-lasting focal points with waving upright texture and motion, as they do adorning your indoor vase arrangements too!
Dutch Iris hybrids grow fast from rhizomes that can be planted in fall or spring throughout USDA growing zones 6-8 as perennial flowering ornamental plants. Deer and juglone resistant, there's little these self-sufficient plants can't handle.
Planting and Application:
The glowing color and upright textural elements look best in drifts, winding rows, or groupings for maximum effect. #ProPlantTips for Care:
Plant Dutch Iris in well-drained soil that won't get soggy, but remains consistently moist throughout the sun to part sun garden. Use a 3-4 inch layer of arborist mulch chips to help hold in moisture and protect the rhizomes. Deadhead after flowers fade but keep the leaves to make food for the bulbs. Every few years it is recommended to divide the rhizomes and clean out any older, non-productive roots to maintain vigor. Prune away the foliage after it yellows to the ground.
