To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Seasonally, Nature Hills offers hand selected, high quality bare root trees, shrubs and perennials. Bare root plants are sold by height from the top of the root system to the top of the plant. Plants may be taller than the height minimums.

It's not often that you get a fruit named after an exploding star, but when the flavor is as spectacular as the new Super Nova Mandarin (Citrus reticulate Blanco 'SuperNova') the name fits perfectly! The flavor of this little fruit explodes!
This blazing orange fruit is new on the market in the last couple of years, but it's been around for a while. It was first developed in 1966 in Florida, then expanded its reach in Southern California, and then really took off in Northern California. It is now poised to rival other well-known Mandarins, like Cuties and Halos! But you can have your own tree producing for you right now so that when your neighbors are paying big bucks for a bag from the local specialty market you will just be picking them fresh from your backyard!
Starting as drifts of fragrant blossoms, the juicy fruit forms over the late fall and winter among the glossy evergreen foliage. These self-pollinating gems bear fruit that is completely seedless and packed with super sweet juicy flavor!
Planting and Application:
Reaching a tidy 12 - 15 feet in height, and keeping a slim profile, Super Nova can easily be accommodated by about any sized yard! Use as a fantastic shade tree, year-round accent, and privacy screen that looks gorgeous anywhere. The evergreen foliage pulls double duty in the landscape as both ornamental and edible!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Citrus trees thrive in the full sun and lower moisture soil. Be sure to let them dry out a touch between waterings and maintain a slightly acidic, enriched environment that are very well-drained. Any fertile site that doesn't get soggy and has good air circulation works just fine too!
Although Citrus can grow year-round in warmer regions (zones 9 and 10), they can also thrive in colder areas (zones 4 to 7) as long as the tree is brought indoors before the first frost of winter.
In zone 8, you can cover your tree in the event of a cold snap or unexpected overnight freeze. Citrus will need to be planted in a sheltered spot to avoid the worst of the chill, and not planted in a low area that collects cold air. If a spot like that is unavailable, or you are in a chill-prone climate, then you are safer planting Citrus Trees in a large, deep container with wheels to easily move them to a protected location or indoors when needed.
In cold growing zones, begin slowly acclimating your tree indoors in the fall, or into a protected location, eventually moving your tree inside. Indoor plants need a bright indirect sun window, greenhouse, sunroom, or enclosed patio for the winter. In spring, reverse this process and begin acclimating your tree to again be back out in the full sun all summer. This reduces stress and leaf drop.
