To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Nature Hills offers plants in two main formats:
- Container Plants: Grown in pots with soil, sized by container volume and plant age
- Bare Root Plants: Dormant plants without soil, sized by height measurements
Container Plant Sizes
Container sizes indicate plant age and growing capacity rather than liquid volume equivalents. Our containers follow industry-standard nursery "trade gallon" specifications, which differ from standard liquid gallon measurements.

Sunset Magenta is very low-growing and wide-spreading once mature, reaching just 2-3 feet in height, but taking up a whopping 6-8 feet of width! Carpeting large swaths of hot, sunny, bare ground in beautiful soft green all year round! The pollinators will adore these vibrant pink blossoms as much as you will!
This maintenance-free Rock Rose is a hybrid between C. crispus and C. albidus, and brings the best of both varieties into one hardy plant! Sunset Magenta tolerates low moisture and sunny well-drained locations throughout USDA growing zones 8 through 11.
Planting and Application:
A wide-spreading flowering shrub like this, especially one that keeps its foliage all year, creates incredible living groundcover to fill bare ground fast! Naturally hardy, and highly adaptable to a wide range of well-drained soil with regular moisture access for young broadleaf evergreen shrubby perennials. Avoid poor soils that retain lots of water to avoid drowning your shrub, because these plants become quite drought-tolerant once established and need good drainage.
This perennial absolutely adores full sun for the most blooms. Rockrose may need the occasional pruning throughout its lifetime, but wait until flowering has finished before picking up the shears. Once early spring begins to warm up for the season, you should fertilize your Rockrose shrub for maximum potential. Rockrose is sure to benefit from some mulch as extra protection 3-4 inches thick.
