Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Getting truly high quality fruit from the supermarket can be..hit or miss. Farmer's markets offer heirloom and unusual fruits to try. But in terms of taste experience, you'll need to grow your own.
If you have space for only one fruiting tree, try Sunglo Nectarine (Prunus persica ‘SunGlo’). These smooth-skinned beauties are filled with juice and abundant flavor.
The vigorous tree produces a reliable harvest of brilliant red, yellow-blushed nectarines. Savor them fresh, or store them for later use.
With firm flesh and smooth texture, these succulent nectarines stand up in baked pies and cobblers. They'll also can and freeze beautifully. What a treat to taste summer again, even in the bleakest part of winter!
The tree has ornamental qualities, too. You'll appreciate the gorgeous pink springtime flower display.
The heightened pigment extends to the long, curved leaves, as well. New growth displays a purple-red overcast.
The brilliant red fruits look like jewels washed in sunlight. Forgive us for the overblown language, but they really are pretty!
Best of all, you'll enjoy a bountiful harvest after a few years. We're talking about 50 pounds of fruit from a single tree.
Although this tree is self-pollinating, and will produce fruit from a single tree, you'll have a much larger harvest with two. Or, plant with a partner Nectarine tree for the most production.
Order SunGlo Nectarine trees from the expert growers at Nature Hills. Some things in life—like the satisfaction of homegrown fruit— just shouldn't be missed!
How to Use SunGlo Nectarine Tree in the Landscape
These versatile trees can be used several ways. Use a single tree as a perfect specimen anywhere you have a sunny planting site.
They'll make a great addition near a children's garden. Kids love watching the tiny new fruit develop into their yummy, juicy snack!
If you have the room, add two or more. Give them 10 - 15 feet apart and allow them to grow to their full height and spread.
Or, plant them 5 feet apart in a hedgerow along your fence line. Measure from the trunk of one to the trunk of the next.
Fruit trees can be pruned for size control. In summer, while the tree is in fruit, thin out a third of the growth from the season. Keep them smaller and manageable with summer pruning.
Choose all SunGlo, or add a mid-season and late-season harvest variety to extend the season of fresh fruit for a month! Get the most from your sunshine with careful planning of a productive backyard orchard.
#ProPlantTips for Care
Plant Nectarines in full sun with at least 6 hours of direct sunlight. Morning sunlight is best, and it will help keep your trees healthy.
Plant Sunglo Nectarine in well-drained soil. If you must improve drainage, elevate your planting by adding soil in a mound 12 to 18 inches tall by 3 feet wide. Plant in that mound, or add a nice border and create a raised bed.
Give your trees a moderate amount of water on a regular basis. Apply a thick layer of mulch over the root system to cut down on surface evaporation and save on water costs.
In late winter, open up the interior of the tree by removing crossing branches. Work during winter pruning to increase sunlight and air circulation blowing throughout the canopy.
Choose to allow the tree to grow to its full spread and height, or plan on an annual summer pruning for size control. Experts suggest keeping fruit trees 8 feet and under for a manageable harvest. It doesn't take long, and the results are well worth it.
SunGlo is a time-tested favorite for flavor, vigor and good looks. Place your order today, and find out why people adore these cherished fruits.
