Our St. Brigid Anemone Mix (Anemone (Double Flowered, Mixed Colors)) is not shy when spring arrives. It's happy to fill your garden with glee. It announces spring's arrival with opulent semi-double and double blooms that include magenta, red, white, violets, and blues! This fun variety of anemones is cheerful, showy, and vibrant.
Some even consider St. Brigid Anemones a gardener's or florist's best-kept spring secret! What makes them so great? They produce bloom after bloom all spring long, and their flowers are flirty, and ornately offer the most pristine coloration. Not only are they reliable and worth their weight in blooms, but they also have strong single stems and their blooms last for weeks once cut.
The incredible velvety and silky petals and light fragrance of Anemone make them high-style finery for your garden containers and planters, beds and borders in the sun! It's amazing that a perennial bulb that only grows 12-18 inches tall can be this captivating!
Planting and Application:
As for their garden merits, these brilliant flowers create quite an impact with their contrasting black eyes and their bold colors. When not in bloom, these workhorse plants offer excellent low-growing foliage that resembles parsley. Plant in your cut flower gardens and pollinator borders so everyone can enjoy these blooms in more ways than one.
For gardeners looking for a bright pop of color without much fuss or muss, this mix fits the bill! They also spread their joy by naturalizing and coming back for years. They make a great choice for a low-maintenance container planting on the porch, patio, or window box. They also are happy to populate an area of the garden that gets plenty of sun, but is lacking in color.
- Festive Selection of Pink, White, Blue & Red
- Easy to Grow Perennial
- Mixture of Semi-Double & Double
- Wonderful for Pollinators & Cut Flowers
- Great in Containers, Spring Borders, & General Garden Use
#ProPlantTips for Care:
Anemones bloom best and brightest in both full sun and partial shade, the latter appreciated in the hotter of their favored USDA growing zones 7 through 10. Provide a rich humusy location with consistent moisture. Best of all, nobody will know that all it took was planting some bulbs in the fall, and watering them during dry spells. Prune away the foliage in late summer or fall after it yellows to clean the bed and apply a 3-4 inch layer of mulch.
- Full Sun & Partial Shade
- Moderate Consistent Moisture
- Organically-Rich Soil
- Clean Mounds After Foliage Yellows
- Unappealing to Deer & Rabbits
