Four seasons of striking interest without sacrificing space! Picture a tree with its branches that appear covered with the first snowfall. That is what your Snow Tower Kousa Dogwood (Cornus kousa 'Snow Tower' PPAF) will look like in late spring. Add beautiful foliage in the summer and fall, and shaggy, textured bark in the winter, and you get a Dogwood tree you can enjoy all year long!

The Snow Tower Kousa Dogwood blooms a little later in the spring than most varieties, extending the Dogwood blooming season. You'll be amazed at the bountiful blooms that are white and can be several inches across, and completely cover your tree.

You will also be astounded at the number of butterflies and other pollinators that come to visit this beautiful tree. And it won't be just a few days of flowers. Your tree will hold its blooms for up to a month!

The Snow Tower Kousa Dogwood will grow into a small tree, tight and upright in nature. Its foliage is dark green in the summer, turning to a gorgeous reddish-purple in the fall! The defoliating bark is visible in the winter after the leaves fall creating additional winter interest.

While not grown for its fruit, the Snow Tower Kousa Dogwood comes with the added benefit of edible red fruit. Some people make jam or wine from the small, raspberry-like fruit. But beware, many species of birds find them delectable as well, and you might have to share them with your feathered friends!

Hardy throughout USDA planting zones 5 to 8, these trees grow into a neat and tidy 12-15 feet in height but keep a slim profile at 4-8 feet in width!

Planting and Application:

This fantastic specimen tree will light up your spring curb appeal in leaps and bounds! Plant one on a berm to help its unique form stand out or as an anchor on the end of your foundation planting! You can use this variety as a focal point in your yard or as height and interest among perennials, Roses, or shrubs throughout the landscape beds! or as a screen or hedge. Add a conversation piece to backyard seating areas, or add beauty to a poolside deck or porch planter!

Plant one of these specialty Kousa Dogwoods just for the beauty, the sheer amount of butterflies, and the flocks of birds and wildlife that will show up to admire and enjoy your tree! #ProPlantTips for Care:

Your Willoway Select Kousa Dogwood will enjoy a spot that has full sun to partial shade. It loves organically rich, slightly acidic soil, that is moist but not wet, so water it regularly, but do not overwater. If your soil lacks plant matter, feel free to add compost, this will help provide nutrients as well as improve drainage. They love having their root systems covered with a 3-4 inch thick layer of mulch to keep the root system evenly moist and cooler.

Prune Dogwood to shape when dormant, and remove water growth or suckers after flowering. Decide what you want to keep first, then remove crossed branches and branches heading into the interior of the canopy to open it up for sunlight penetration and air circulation.

Another great thing about this Kousa hybrid is that it shows better resistance to disease better than other Flowering Dogwoods!

  • Full Sun & Partial/Afternoon Shade
  • Needs Well-Drained Acidic Soil
  • Moderate Moisture Needs
  • Prune When Dormant
  • Kousa Hybrid Columnar Tree
  • Disease Resistant & Cold Hardy

Buy your Snow Tower Kousa Dogwood today, before Nature Hills sell out! Enjoy the blooms and foliage, and don't forget your binoculars so you can see what birds come to enjoy the fruit.
