Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.
This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Growing Zones
Silver-mercury mirrored foliage with a touch of smokey burgundy, the absolutely stunning Smoke and Mirrors Coral Bells PP#31,785 (Heuchera 'Smoke and Mirrors') will bring a mysterious and mystical look to your shade garden beds and borders! When the breeze blows, watch as the burgundy-purple undersides of the leaves show off their hidden pop of color!
This unique perennial stands out against the greenery of your more average garden foliage! The hints of burgundy along the veins add a touch of contrast! The rounded lobed leaves and prominent venation form tiered layered mounds that create unique clumps 12-15 inches wide. New leaves can have more of a rosy pink blush before maturing to their silvery gray hue.
In late spring and early summer, the 8-10 inch mounds of silvery foliage are accented by tall, slender stems with dainty bell-like pinkish blossoms at the tops. These scapes can rise 24-30 inches above the foliage and bring in the butterflies, bees, and curious Hummingbirds. You'll love stealing a few for bouquets too!
Coral Bells are an easy-to-grow shade garden standard with a new and modern foliage color! Still just as cold-hardy and heat-tolerant as their cousins, grow these perennials in USDA planting zones 4 to 9!
Landscape Application:
Smoke and Mirrors Coral Bells are a must-have for front yard landscaping and accenting your high-profile locations! The modern take will turn heads when you use groupings around the mailbox with purple blooms and burgundy foliage plants. Create rows as edging with a backdrop of dark foliage plants or variegated plants with white flowers.
Fantastic spillers, fillers, and thrillers in container gardens, choose a large planter with a silvery Spartan Juniper as a specimen with a skirt of Smoke and Mirrors around its base! Or try using these silvery perennials that look fantastic as facer plants against a row of Purple Smokebush, Ice Breaker™ Korean Fir, purple-leafed Ninebark, or dark green Evergreens.
- Silvery Gray Foliage & Darker Veins
- Purple-Burgundy Tints & Leaf Undersides
- Dainty Pink Bell-Shaped Blossoms On Tall Slender Stems
- Beautiful Round-Lobed Leaves Form Tidy Mounds
- Stylish Modern Color For Edging, Specimens, Massing & Container Thrillers
#ProPlantTips for Care:
Heuchera can grow in full sun in cooler growing zones, but morning sun with afternoon shade is better for warmer climates. They also do well with dappled shade all day but you may lose a bit of the incredibly silvery hue. However, this amazing leaf color may be ever'green' in mild winters.
Choose a location that is well-drained and enriched, well-mulched, and have regular moderate moisture access. In early spring carefully pick off any damaged or brown leaves without cutting the whole plant back. If plants die back completely, trim back completely and remove all foliage from the area.
- Full Sun, Partial Sun & Full Shade
- Well-Drained Enriched Soil
- Moderate Moisture Needs
- Clean Mounds In Early Spring
