To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Nature Hills sells a large variety of plants with several options available. Plants are offered in both potted containers and as dormant bare root without soil. Here is a helpful resource to understand your options as you create a beautiful landscape with help from Nature Hills.

Seasonally, Nature Hills offers hand selected, high quality bare root trees, shrubs and perennials. Bare root plants are sold by height from the top of the root system to the top of the plant. Plants may be taller than the height minimums.

Enjoy sitting on your patio or deck and smelling the sweet peppery perfume of your Single Red Freesia (Freesia corymbosa 'Single Red') on a hot summer evening! The unique bright red flowers appear in spires with the flowers all growing upright off the stems, each taking their turn to bloom from bottom to tip. Giving you a long-lasting bloom!
This plant is a favorite of florists with its incredibly captivating red blooms. They do beautifully in a vase as well as containers and in your garden. As cut flowers, they last an impressive length of time in the vase. Outdoors, Hummingbirds and pollinators flock to the brilliant color and ample nectar resource!
Red Freesia are summer-flowering bulbs, known as corms, grows quickly to a 1-2 foot tall clump over time and can spread up to 2 feet wide. Warm winter areas allow these plants to remain perennial and form clumps of green swords and bright red blooms. Create groupings in your garden beds to maximize the brilliant color of these blooms and the upright effect of the foliage.
Planting and Application:
Freesias are excellent annuals in USDA growing zones 1-8 and will flower about 10-12 weeks after planting, so you can stagger planting to extend the blooming times during the season! The annual corms can be lifted at the end of the season and stored dormant above freezing until the following spring. In USDA hardiness zones 9 through 10, Freesia are perennial accents that can be used anywhere sunny in pots and planters or garden beds or borders.

Blooming starts in late spring on green arching blade-shaped foliage that is incredibly dramatic in your landscaping. The red blooms pop intensely making this flower hard to miss.
