If you are looking for a very sweet Peach tree to add to your landscape, why not get one of the best? Backyard orchard enthusiasts love Sentinel Peach Tree (Prunus persica 'Sentinel') for its low-acid flavor that stays nice and sweet all the way through the finish.

This is one of the sweetest yellow-fleshed Peach tree varieties. Kids love the taste of Sentinel peaches! Eat fresh from your own tree, or cut up and use in homemade ice cream.

Peach trees are quite ornamental, too. They give a tropical vibe with long, slender, dark green leaves.

Watch the fruit develop from flower to finished. Fragrant, pink springtime blooms are as pretty as a picture. You'll be surprised how showy these dark red peaches look hanging on the branches.

People across the country are discovering the joys of growing their own fruit. You'll know just what was sprayed and when. There is no better flavor than warm peaches plucked ripe from the tree.

And you'll get fruit from a single tree, because Sentinel Peach is self-pollinating. Peaches have perfect flowers with both male and female parts. They can set fruit from their own pollen.

However, if you have the space, be sure to plant a second variety. Peach trees do best with a partner. You'll love the larger harvests on both trees.

Try one of Nature Hills' white-fleshed Peach trees in your Edible Landscape. Both produce very sweet fruit, and you'll have no trouble getting through the harvests.

This is a semi-freestone variety that can be prepped easily. You'll love the healthy slices to use in smoothies or in dehydrated fruit leather. No need to add extra sugar!

Order Sentinel Peach tree as soon as you see it in stock on our site. We'll sell out quickly.

People all across the country want to grow fruiting trees to shore up their food stores. Be prepared for great-tasting fruit with your very own Peach tree.

How to Use Sentinel Peach Tree in the Landscape

Peach trees are so beautiful with their pretty pink blossoms. You'll want to consider this as a specimen lawn tree for both shade and sweet peaches. Create a mulched garden bed to keep it easy for yourself.

If you want more than one tree, create an orderly row, like they do at the orchard. Presto! You'll gain an instant garden feature.

Add fruiting trees to your Victory Garden. Use them as a taller backdrop to your annual veggies.

If space is at a premium, grow them in a 4-in-1 or 3-in-1 high density planting. Add varieties that harvest a bit later than Sentinel for a longer season of fresh fruit. Read our blogs and watch our videos to learn more about these tried and true modern planting techniques.

#ProPlantTips for Care

Plant Sentinel Peach trees where they will receive full sunshine. Morning sun is best, but they need at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day.

Give your tree some elbow room, planting at least 15 feet away from buildings. Air circulation is important to keep the foliage healthy.

Peaches grow best in fertile, well-drained soils. If you have poor drainage, bring in additional soil in a mounded heap of soil to 18 inches by three feet wide. Plant in that mound

Apply a medium amount of water on a regular basis, especially during fruit production. Add a three-inch layer of mulch to keep the root system nice and cool. Spread the mulch out to three feet outside of the canopy.

Thin the fruit to 1 piece per every 5 inches. You can do that while the tiny fruits are still green. Compost them with love!

Prune your tree in late winter to maintain a vase-shape set of scaffolding branches. Prune in mid-summer if you want to control the height and spread.

You'll love eating the incredibly sweet fruit from your Sentinel Peach trees. Place your order from the expert growers at Nature Hills today!
