Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.
This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Brilliant blooms and dark purple eyes, the Senetti® Violet Bicolor Cineraria (Pericallis x 'Sunsenebaibai') features intense purple-violet petals highlighted by a white band for a saturated bi-color bloom and perfect landing pad for butterflies!
Growing to a neat mound of scalloped foliage, these tender flowering plants thrive in the cool spring season. Often used as an annual in colder growing zones, these can be herbaceous perennials in growing zones 9 through 11. The blooms smother this entire plant in a neat, rounded manicured manner, making them ideal for container accents and thrillers because of their bold color. They’re also fantastic gift plants that are sure to cheer up someone having a bad time.
Senetti® Cineraria varieties are dramatically different from old-fashioned Cineraria. They offer superior cool weather garden performance, durability and vigor! And perform they will! They will rebloom as long as the weather remains cool and you can keep them deadheaded.
Planting and Application:
As vibrant as the butterflies and bees that will visit, Cineraria are excellent when mixed with spring-flowering bulbs, throughout perennial borders and cottage gardens for an incredible pop of color. Ideally sized for accenting cool-season porch and patio pots! These gift plants are also often used as flowering houseplants, so northern gardeners can bring these blooms in once winter arrives, and southern gardeners can enjoy them indoors for the hot summer months!
Violet Bicolor Cineraria add fresh color in any sunny or shady location around the garden, but for the most impact, use rows of these smaller, tidy mounding perennials to line garden paths and driveways, or to add a burst of color along your foundation or around your mailbox garden!
- Brilliant Ray-Petals of Dark Violet-Purple & White
- Dense Multi-Branched Mound of Green Foliage
- Gift Plant, Containers, Houseplant, Mixed-Spring Borders
- Annual or Perennial in Zones 9-11
- Pollinators & Borders
#ProPlantTips for Care:
Cineraria thrive in the cooler times of the year, tolerating full sun in cooler climates and partial filtered sun in warmer zones. Needs consistently moist, very well-drained soil and a thick mulch layer to keep the roots cool and hydrated. Deadhead to keep blooms returning until early summer!
- Full Sun & Partial Shade
- Requires Consistently Moist Well-Drained Soil
- Mulch Beds Thickly to Hold Moisture & Cool Roots
- Rarely Damaged By Deer
- Deadhead Often, Prune After Flowering
