To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Nature Hills offers plants in two main formats:
- Container Plants: Grown in pots with soil, sized by container volume and plant age
- Bare Root Plants: Dormant plants without soil, sized by height measurements

Container sizes indicate plant age and growing capacity rather than liquid volume equivalents. Our containers follow industry-standard nursery "trade gallon" specifications, which differ from standard liquid gallon measurements.

The vining and intriguing Satin Pothos Kokedamas Kokedama (Scindapsus pictus) are trailing and climbing tropical plants that have lovely sage-green heart-shaped leaves and twinging stems with anchoring nodes along each leaf joint allowing them to either climb or spill from the moss ball! Each leaf is randomly splashed with silvery sage green accents with matching stems.
Similar in look and needs to other Pothos or Philodendrons, Scindapsus are incredibly easy to care for! Best of all, the Kokedama root 'binding' method - they will never need to be repotted! Displaying Your Kokedama!
According to Feng Shui, Pothos should be placed in areas with dead energy, such as above cabinets and in empty corners where some life and greenery are very much needed. Scindapsus Vines are forgiving and easy-going plants, there’s no way they will not show off anywhere as unique living decorations for an office desk or side table, at work or at home! Ideal hanging in a sunny bathroom or kitchen shelf where the diffused sunlight and higher moisture keep them very happy indeed.
Satin Pothos Plants are trailing plants and look best when displayed suspended, either when given something to climb on or simply allowed to dangle. Include in a hanging or wall display on a sunny wall of your living room, or trailing off the side of a coffee table or bookcase. Scindapsus plants seem to meld with all informal, modern, country, and formal home styles without taking up much space!
Tabletop displays of Kokedama are truly eye-catching accents and look best displayed in such a way that their trailing nature is shown off. Set one atop a cut crystal or carved wood stand, inside a cloche or inside a tabletop Victorian conservatory. Be sure to set your Kokedama on a flat stone, pile of pebbles or seashells, on a stand, or in a pretty tray, dish, or bowl to keep moisture away from wood or from warping furniture.

Easy to care for and maintain, Satin Pothos Kokedama has been practiced in Japan for centuries, translating literally as 'Moss Ball'. Scindapsus plants do well in any kind of bright yet indirect sunlight for the best growth and color, and can tolerate partial shade and office lighting too. To water your Kokedama, simply submerge the bottom 3/4ths of your moss ball in a dish or the sink and let soak for 5-10 minutes. Remove to a draining area for 20 minutes to let excess water run out of the root system. Then place it back into its display! Repeat as necessary, maintaining a moderate yet consistent moisture level.
Scindapsus are lower water usage tropical plants, so monitor moisture levels carefully. Root rot is a death sentence for these plants. Because of many factors, the watering frequency will vary throughout the year. Dry winters with dehumidifiers running may require soaking a couple of times a week! If your Kokedama is as light as air or your plant is wilting, you need to check it more often, or soak it a bit longer each time.
- Use room temperature filtered, purified, or bottled water - even rainwater
- Bright Indirect Light - Avoid direct sunlight
- Soak for 5-10 minutes & let drain
- Don't move Ficus around - Avoid AC & heating vent drafts
- Use half-strength fertilizer in the soaking water in spring & fall
