Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

The sweetly green and silver Satin Pothos (Scindapsus pictus) is a trailing houseplant or lush groundcover with soft green foliage, bespeckled with silvery-grey spots and splotches!

Climbing, cascading or crawling, this darling tropical houseplant can be used for about any indoor or warm climate outdoor application! Thriving in warmth and humidity, these are fantastic in a terrarium, cloche, or anywhere in your home with bright indirect sunlight!

The large, heart-shaped leaves have a satin sheen that is their namesake. Compactly growing, they look stunning indoors or out!

Planting and Application:

A super easy-to-maintain hanging plant that adds subtle sparkle and soothing greenery to your home. Use as a sprawling, rambling table plant, or pinch off the tendrils and repot them, stimulating the plant to produce more branching and fullness. Also used as living mulch or groundcover for larger potted Houseplants.

Use in patio planters and mixed-plant dish gardens as a spiller, or train up a trellis or support as a 1-3 foot tall climbing plant for vertical appeal in containers!

  • Cascading in hanging baskets, trailing and spiller as a groundcover
  • Sparkling silver splashed heart-shaped green leaves with a satiny sheen
  • Easy to care for
  • Great gift plant
  • Loves any humid, warm and filtered light location

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Satin Pothos care is very easy! It does best in bright light. Use a well-draining but fertile potting soil and provide even moisture - letting the soil dry slightly in between waterings. Cut back branches as they get too long and drop some leaves and root them!

  • Yellowing often indicates too much water, touch the soil and see if it feels dry or moist, water if dry
  • Brown leaves indicate not enough humidity - Mist your plant 1-2 times a week
  • Bright filtered and indirect lighting only
  • While named Pothos, Silver Pothos is not truely in that plant family.
  • Satin Pothos is a slow-growing and easy-to-maintain tropical houseplant
