Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Growing Zones 9-11
The Lavender plant-like purple blooms, the Evolution Salvia (Salvia farinacea 'Evolution') makes a striking impact on your garden beds and borders from summer until autumn! Evolution attracts butterflies, bees, and jeweled Hummingbirds with its intense and rich purple flowering spires.
This is far and away the best Mealycup Sage ever grown, and it deserves a big planting in your sunniest garden spot! A type of Perennial Sage, also known as Meadow Sage, these Salvia are really a whole new generation for Salvia, with richer blooms, better branching, more compact plants, superb weather resistance, and an extra-long season of bloom!
Every bloom stalk on these sturdy little plants is packed with deep violet-purple blooms, far brighter and less prone to fading than older varieties! The blooming begins in early to mid-summer and keeps going right into fall, extending your season of color in the Sage garden by several weeks. What a low-maintenance plant! Standing up to the sun, heat, and humidity throughout USDA planting zones from 9 to 11! These Autumn Sage are astounding annual accents in zones 3 to 8!
Planting and Application:
Evolution Salvia are lovely specimens that light up the Cottage garden border as edging or bold groupings that show off in grand form! Those hot, sun-parched stretches along the road, in Rock Gardens, and the fronts of sunny walkways, sidewalks, and your driveway, while looking great doing it!
Especially expressive and high-impact when planted in masses in your landscape! You'll get a low-maintenance bank of color when you plant them 8-10 inches apart on center for a fast fill. Either as a solid single species drift, or mixed and matched with other Salvia and sun-loving perennials.
Small and space-saving enough for even courtyards, container gardens, and balcony gardeners to enjoy! A lovely upright thriller and filler, your sunny seating areas, patios, porches, and poolside planters will shine in the sun!
- Bright Magenta-Pink Blooms on Dark Stems
- Spring Until Frost Flowers!
- Fine Textured Minty Aromatic Foliage & Upright Clumps
- Evergreen in Warm Frost-Free Growing Zones
- Gorgeous Container Specimens, Borders & Edging & Taller Accents
#ProPlantTips for Care:
Easy to grow, these tough herbaceous perennials are highly drought tolerant once established. Plant in the full sun, the soft purple flowers are defiant in the sun, humidity, and heat. Plant in any well-drained soil, growing equally well in moderately fertile soils and with average moisture found in the home garden setting, Sage will only do poorly in soggy, wet ground. Apply a three-inch thick layer over the root system to support your plants.
Deadhead to keep the flowers returning throughout the entire growing season, and prune these perennials back in winter to give your plant a clean, finished look if you are in the warmer growing zones where Sages can be evergreen. Divide your plants every 3-5 years to maintain their growing vigor. Otherwise, there's little else in the way of maintenance Sages require. This perennial puts up with bad weather from heat and humidity to drought and unseasonable cold. It's unstoppable!
- Humidity & Heat Tolerant - Full Sun Perennials
- Easy Care In Well-Drained Soils
- Drought Resistant Once Established
