Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

Round 'em up! The Rodeo Tulip Blend (Tulipa 'Queen of Night', Tulipa 'Pink Impression') brings fragrant shades of maroon and pink on satin petals in that classic Tulip shape! Backed by a vase-shaped flourish of soft green strappy foliage and held upon strong stems!

These early spring perennial bulbs bring in the pollinators, grateful for the early nectar and pollen source! This combination of Queen of the Night Tulip and the creamy pink Pink Impression Tulip light up your vase arrangements with fragrant, colorful blooms!

Forming 22-36-inch tall clumps, Tulips are fall-planted perennial bulbs that are cold-hardy and so easy to grow! The Rodeo Tulip Blend flowers in the late spring and shine with their dark and light color combo!

Planting and Application:

The Rodeo Tulip Blend is space-saving and easy to grow, showing off in your seasonal container gardens on your balcony, or in mixed planters on your porch! Try a matched pair potted up on either side of your front steps!

No room outdoors? Try forcing Tulip bulbs indoors in a pretty shallow tray, or mixed with other perennial fall-planted bulbs in the late winter, and enjoy a pretty table centerpiece to welcome spring vibes in the middle of winter!

The brilliant blooms are as lovely in the Cottage gardens and shine in your spring Rock gardens where Tulips appreciate the good drainage. Mix with other perennials and perennial blossoms, spring ephemerals like Tulips appreciate the later-emerging shade of their leaves, shading them from the hot summer sun.

  • Dark Maroon & Dreamy Pink Tulip Combo
  • Upright Clumps of Strappy Green Foliage
  • Bees, Butterflies & Sweetly Scented Cut Flower Bouquets
  • Great For Seasonal Container Gardens
  • Beds & Borders, En Masse, Rows & Groupings

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Tulips do their very best in a well-drained location in full to partial sun. Tulips do not like continuously wet soil so water newly planted bulbs very well. Once established, you will only need to provide supplemental water if it gets dry that fall, or during summers when you have extensive heat and drought. Top-dress with a 3-4 inch deep layer of mulch to consistently hold in soil moisture and insulate the perennial bulbs.

Deadhead the flower heads once they fade but let the foliage remain to make food for the bulbs. Trim away the leaves and remove them from the area once they turn yellow. Apply an early spring application of bulb food.

Tips on Planting Tulip Bulbs

Plant Tulip Bulbs in the fall about 6 to 8 weeks before a hard freeze (or anytime in the autumn when the ground is still workable.). Place the perennial bulbs in a hole with the pointy end upward and at least 8 inches deep (about 3x the length of the bulb), spaced about 4-6 inches apart.

  • Full Sun & Partial Shade Outdoors & Indirect Sun Indoors
  • Bulbs Need Well-Drained Soil
  • Moderate to Low Moisture Once Established
  • Deadhead After Flowers Fade & Prune After Foliage Yellows
  • Fall-Planted Perennial Spring Flowering Bulbs

Dark and moody Queen of Night and cheerful Pink Impressions flowers that make up the Rodeo Tulip Blend will light up your spring garden this year! Order yours today and NatureHills.com will hold your perennial bulbs until the proper planting time for your growing zone!
