We bet you've never seen an Iris quite like this one! The Ring Around Rosie Tall Bearded Iris (Iris germanica 'Ring Around Rosie') freshens up the garden with its ethereal halo of yellow and its porcelain white standards. This bright Iris is known for its butter-yellow margins that ring its standards and falls, creating a glowing effect! Its falls have luminous white centers flecked with deep violet which sets off the yellow edges. And its tall standards gently undulate and sing out with their creamy white coloration.
The Ring Around Rosie German Iris creates a brilliant show in mid-spring! Don't be surprised if you find bees and butterflies playing ring-around-the-rosie after they catch sight of this festive Iris! You might find yourself circling it more than you expected as well.
With its bright colors and lovely scent, it's hard to resist not spending a little extra time in the garden admiring it. Hardy throughout USDA planting zones 3 to 9, this Tall Bearded Iris shows off its stuff on 3-foot tall sturdy stems but spreads just 12 - 18 inches wide, forming compact clumps of sword-like gray-green foliage.
Planting and Application:
Create drifts, winding rows, straight pathway edging, or evenly spaced groupings of these incredibly showy flowers! Neighbors will stop in their tracks when they see how well these Irises highlight your Cottage garden, mixed Perennial border, and Pollinator borders.
Ring Around Rosy pairs well when planted behind dwarf varieties of any color, but really plays well with Slovak Prince, Decadence, or Double Ringer Bearded Iris. It will also impress garden visitors as an unusual border or as dramatic cut flowers indoors, alone or mixed with other sun-garden spring plants!
Hardy and adaptable enough to handle en masse plantings and Rock gardens alike, This Iris proves you don't have to have a massive yard to grow show-stopping Irises. This fantastic Iris makes a great front-of-the-border planting and edging row in tight areas! These Irises are also wonderful for use in porch planters and mixed container gardens as thrillers and vertical texture.

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Just be sure to plant them in full sun or partial sun locations in the autumn, doing their best in well-drained soil with regular moisture access, especially during their first year in the ground. All plants appreciate a 3-4 inch deep layer of mulch over the rhizomes and surrounding soil area. Deadhead when the blooms are done but keep the leaves so they can make food for the bulb. As the years pass, you will want to divide and transplant the new Iris rhizomes every few years depending on how closely they're planted together.
Information About Bareroot Iris
Bareroot Iris are shipped as nice fresh-cut divisions with two to three fans of green tops. Keep in mind each Iris variety can have slightly different-sized roots. Container plants are well-grown in the nursery for several years in their container to establish a strong root system. This low-maintenance perennial does best when planted in fall.
When planting Iris, set them up for success by planting with the roots pointed downward and the top third of its rhizome exposed. Note, that it's best to cover the rhizome with a thin layer of mulch, compost, or leaves to protect it during the coldest months but make sure to uncover it in the spring.
