Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

These ruffled landing pads attract loads of butterflies and bees looking for a spring treat, so plant a couple of extra plants for them and yourself!

Peony Riches and Fame handles temperatures down to zone 3 winters and summers up to growing zone 8. The lush green clumps of foliage grow with every passing year to form a healthy 3 foot wide and tall mound. The rich color of these blossoms will certainly make your garden famous in the neighborhood!

Planting and Application:

Peonies are fantastic planted with spring bulbs and later summer-blooming perennials. Protecting the bulbs by shading them all summer and providing fantastic backdrops for summer flowers! Include in cottage and cutting gardens and use as pops of bright color throughout mixed-shrub borders and as accents in containers and planters, so long as they have winter-chill protection.

Peony plants draw the eye when planted en masse and in rows! So add an easy-care row along your driveway or a path, or along your home's front yard as a tough property defining low-hedge, or use rings of these herbaceous perennials around sculptures, structures and urns to really set them apart!
