Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

The Remembrance Crocus (Crocus vernus 'Remembrance') is truly unforgettable. This peppy purple flower will remind you of the warmth and beauty of spring when it shows its sweet face before most other plants come back to life. This Crocus variety is adored for its tonal coloration that varies from bright purple to bluish orchid. It even has a charming silvery shimmer that adds a bit of sparkle to the season.

This Crocus is a friendly reminder that winter is over and spring is about to hop into full swing. Crocus are fantastic for both early spring color outdoors and even winter forcing indoors! The Remembrance Crocus is a vigorous grower that will bloom with showy violet flowers with a vivid tangerine stamen. And they can last for several weeks!

This sweet flower may seem simple, but it's far from boring! Very adaptable to a wide range of growing conditions, these pollinator-friendly little blooms are one of the most welcome sights and scents of the year! It reserves a special place in many gardeners' hearts since it announces the coming of every gardener's favorite season: Spring!

Planting and Application:

The Remembrance Crocus is also a gift to the garden that keeps on giving. It blooms profusely and naturalizes easily. Let the grass-like foliage continue to grow for six weeks after blooming for the best development of healthy corms for the following year. Pollinator gardens and Rock gardens, and cut flower gardens are all welcoming locations!

No spring garden is complete without some crocuses, and the Remembrance Crocus is an excellent choice for a wide range of uses. Space-saving and naturalizing politely as a front border to your garden bed, Crocus are great as mass plantings and groupings, or as a low-growing bunching accent plant!

  • Bluish Violet Blooms With a Silvery Sheen
  • Variegated Foliage - Silvery Green Striped Dark Green Spiky Blades
  • Large Flowering Crocus Variety
  • Early Bloomer Attracts Pollinators

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Like other Crocuses, these prefer full sun to partial shade and well-drained soils. Plant your Crocus bulbs in full sun or partial shade. Provide moderate moisture and some bulb fertilizer when planting. Plant yours 4 inches apart and several inches deep in the fall-planting season and wait for them to come alive in spring. While they do naturally increase over time, they don't need to be separated until the spacing impacts their performance. Fall-planted bulbs need at least 6-8 weeks of Chill Hours to bloom.

  • Full Sun & Partial Shade
  • Any Well-Drained Soil
  • Moderate Moisture Needs
  • Clean Foliage Away After It Yellows
  • Low Maintenance Perennial Bulb Mixture

Don't forget to add these peppy Crocuses to your cart. Remembrance Crocus corms are energetic and ready for your fall planting! Nature Hills Nursery will reserve your order for you in the proper conditions and ship your order to you at the right fall planting season for your Hardiness Zone!
