You’ll easily add fanciful color and sight to your planters and containers by including Lilies as thrillers and focal points. Their wide-open faces gleam in the sun and show off that incredible color from all sides.

Plant around your patio and in your Pollinator gardens so you’ll enjoy your winged visitors around your seating areas. These fantastic flowers light up Perennial beds and are ideal border plants! Cottage and Cutting gardens gain summer ambiance from these vibrant blooms!

Group of these vivid flowers along your home’s sunny foundation, or to enliven the front of a rock wall. Long rows of Lilies add dramatic bursts of color! By grouping and planting en masse, you’ll easily achieve maximum visual display and eye-catching impact! Slowly spreading and clump-forming, you’ll enjoy more and more blooms each year!

Perfect in the vase and in your floral bouquets, these sprays of large flowers really take the spotlight. Striking focal points in vase arrangements, the Red Oriental Lily has a dramatic color impact! We’re sure you’ll walk in a room and your nose will tell you they’re there before you set eyes on them! That sweet, heady fragrance that only an Oriental Lily emits is one you’ll never forget!

From before the flowers arrive and long after the blooms have faded, the outstanding greenery is the perfect backdrop for these flowers and other plants in the garden! Create a vivid berm or island in your front or side garden with other brilliant red, hot pink, or royal purple flowers!

Or create a mono-planting of just a selection of many species of Lily, including other colors of Oriental, Asiatic and Tiger Lilies for an extended season of impressive blooms! Add to your garden rooms and meditation spots where the fragrance will whisk you away!

Northern gardeners and those in cold climates can treat these Lilies as annuals or dig them up in the fall. Plant into containers that are set into the ground and simply pull up the whole pot! Keep them moderately watered and store them in a cool dark location each winter such as a garage or shed! You can even move these specimen plants into a greenhouse for the cold winter months.

Try creating a focal point planting in your garden by clustering these in a grouping of 3 or more for a stand-out accent! Seating areas, birdbaths, outdoor sculptures and urns become main garden features with a ring of these around their base!

The strong stems support them without needing to be staked, but if you do live in an area prone to heavy rain and storms, you may want to stake these when they’re at their prime to support the heavy clusters of flowers.

#ProPlantTips For Care

These perennial Lily bulbs thrive in the full sun! Preferring morning sun and afternoon shade in the hotter of its favored USDA growing zones 7 through 10. Allow at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day for optimum results.

Plant in well-drained but moist soil with average fertility. Not particular on soil type, any well-drained medium that has a good amount of humus and organic material added will help hold the moisture that these bulbs enjoy.

Water well while plants are young and in the heat of summer to have the best blooms and the longest bloom time. Once established, they will only need supplemental watering throughout the summer’s heat and in times of prolonged drought.

Apply a deep layer of mulch over the soil’s surface to ensure moisture consistency and to also insulate the root system from both heat and cold.

If you live in cooler climates of zones 3 through 6, you can still enjoy these outstanding flowers! Simply treat Oriental Lilies as you would Dahlias or Canna Bulbs and dig them up in the fall and store them in a garage or shed for the winter.

Deadhead after bloom but keep your foliage until after frost to make food for the bulb, then cut back in autumn. Otherwise, these are a carefree and easy-to-grow species of Lily! Beautiful natives to Japan have readily adapted to the warmer climates of North American home gardens.

Red Oriental Lily easily brings delightful brilliance and fragrance to your world! You’ll want to order several of these lovely blooms for all your gardening and indoor bouquet needs! So order today at NatureHills.com before they’re gone!
